Is this tournament still going on? I know I played it in 2003 and it was a great tournament. I have been out of the game a while but I would like to play it again. I think it was in December? I was just wondering if it is going to happen this year but just not sanctioned yet? Approximately what date? Thanks!

Tournament has always been first weekend in December, and I suggest planning under that assumption. It is a very successful and popular event.

At some point they went from just playing the temp. course in Hampton Park to playing both Hampton Park and Trophy Lakes ("water, water everywhere"). Don't know which version you played in 2003 but, if it didn't include Trophy Lakes, you're in for a treat.

I only played the temp course at Hampton Park. I didn't know a permanent course was in now!

Just to be clear, there is no permanent course at Hampton---you still play 2 rounds on the same great temporary course. Or about the same course, since they constantly tinker with it.

You now play one day at Hampton, and 1 at Trophy Lakes, a private course on the land of a waterskiing facility. It has long narrow lakes and coves, many of which come into play, and is a great layout. (They are holding a tournament there June 23-24, if you care to check it out).

It is still our intention at this time to have it the first weekend of December. After we get through the June 23-24 event at Trophy Lakes I will start making calls and preparing for the Classic.
