There has been talk about Alaska. Could even use the Juneau course. Rent a bus to take us there, play a round and head to the Red Dog Saloon. What could be better.

How about a cruise to Belize and play the beautiful Trek Stop featured in DGWN.

Or a cruise to Grand Cayman and set up a shot course in Hell. DIsc golf in Hell would be fun.

Debating on what day to get to Orlando. Is there any disc golf going on Saturday or Sunday near the airport hotels or within short cab ride? I talked to Jay at the Majestic he didnt know of anything planned

The cruise list is getting PHAT! We've got some 2 timers that couldn't get enough and I don't blame 'em.
What a better way to celebrate the end of 2007! I already know we will be celebrating a few birthdays and at least one Wedding/Honeymoon, (funny, we didn't see much of the honeymooners on the last cruise) :o
Still time to sign-up for seriously waaaay tooo much fun :p

For more information or to book the cruise, call Cruise World at (813) 265-8747 or (800) 228-1153. They are handling all the registrations for the disc golfers. Make sure you tell them that you want to play in the tournament as you will not be automatically registered for the tournament by booking your cabin.

HUGE News! Cruise World called me late last week and told me that due to slow bookings on the rest of the boat (we have almost 90 people!) that prices have been dropped between $30-$100 per person! Folks that have already registered will be getting some type of notice on their refund, etc.

This is a great opportunity to get in on the hippest, coolest disc golf event you'll ever attend! These prices will start to rise as soon as the word gets out and cabins start selling so act now.

Do we need a passport for this?

Just asking since I got confused with those fancy government docs that say you DO need one in 1 paragraph then say you DONT in the next paragraph if you going to such and such place.

Mine is on the way I just wanted to know

I just went on a cruise 3 months ago, and I didn't need a passport. I thought they said you didn't need one until after January 1, 2008.

sun_king
Aug 28 2007, 05:47 PM
Scott is correct, you do not need a passpaort until Jan 1, 2008 BUT if you are going to use your passport for the 2007 Disc Golf Cruise it must be valid until at least May of 2008 (6 months after the sailing). Why?? I have no idea, ask homeland security. Tell 'em I sent ya.

Is the event sanctioned this year? Or has that been abandoned after the time issues presented last year? I don't see it on the schedule.

What about the course? Any changes? Or will it basically be the same? Seems like last year a lot of the time it took to play was associated with finding the course - as we were all playing it virtually blind.

I loved last years course! Spotters placed at various locations, Denny in his golf cart, and the map of the island we all carried kept us on the path. I also hope Des and Juliana give another clinic, that was a huge bonus last year. Ed and I are getting super excited about this years cruise. Only 15 more days! Vicki

I created a room on snapfish where I think we'll all be able to share our photos. I've already uploaded mine. I'm pretty sure this will work, but people will probably have to create an account. If you want me to send you an invite, I can, but you'll just have to send me your email address.

The URL is: http:// discgolfcruise.snapfish.com/snapfish

Yes, it is still working. You just have to log in with that name and password. I know that Snapfish was having some problems yesterday (maybe too many people were uploading Christmas pictures?-- who knows!). Also, you have to join Snapfish if you are not already a member. If you are still having trouble, I can send you a direct invite to the group... just PM your email address to me!

Great pictures

That was a fun event
the putting clinic was Top Notch!

I've email and called Mike a few times, no reply
Wondering why the delay with the scores being posted? And were checks being mailed out this week?

I'll defiantly consider the 2009 trip, by then I should have this years paid for.

Excited to hear they may go to a different location

Excellent job organizers and staff!!!
