Reedy Thursday, then for the brave, GLOW GOLF at Hornets Nest, then Hornets Nest on Friday.
Good karma comes to those who play glow golf the night before the big event. And it's only $5. we play a really relaxed set up, low score on the card wins a disc, and the top 2 in each division wins a trophy disc. A great way to add to the fun of the Points Bonanza.

I'm looking forward to it. And if it is not raining I might do the glow, but I would still have an hour drive home. Played Hornets Nest and Reedy today and they both looked good. But I'm not going to lie I'm a little scared about playing the Web and getting a rating on the round...

I'm excited - wish I could play all 4, but chose to go to ATL instead, so will just have to settle for 3!

I'm sorry that this is a little off from the subject but I am trying to reach as many NC players as I can.
If you havent already cast your PDGA ballot I am now running for NC State Coordinator.
I just found out that since Hall of Famer Alan Beaver is planning on moving to Chapin SC he has decided not to run for State Coordinator this year.
I had not planned to run unless I was sure that Alan was moving.
Thanks!!!

Are we playing the new holes at Hornests Nest?
cwphish
Jun 12 2007, 09:34 AM
Yes. #6 is back in play, although significantly shorter. You then play #8 as #7, then cross the road and head into the woods for #'s 8+9 (both new). Original #'s 7+9 are gone.

Boooooo on a shorter 6

yeah I hear that - 6 is one of the best holes on the course and is just such a fun shot to throw.

Web 8+9 are the same as for the nest now. Both birdie opportunities. Wait til you see the elevation on the baskets though. It makes you work for the birds. I can't even reach in #9's to get my disc out. :D

looking forward to seeing the new holes!
Ho's Nest is my favorite course out of the 95 I've played. Countdown till I get to play it again is 3 days - wohoo!

Sometimes I take for granted having Sugaw, Reedy O + Stout, Kilbourne, Renny O + Gold, Veterans, Mint Hill, Doral, Cam Yards, and The Nest + Web within 1-15 minutes of my house. I almost don't know where to play today! :D

What a bummer, now we only have ten events this week in the Charlotte area over seven days.
I do think there has been some discussion of glow Friday/Saturday night at Kilbourne.

Jun 12 2007, 10:36 AM
you can boo all you want on shorter 6, but there is no way with all the construction that we can play anything that is remotely close to being as long as it normally is. when you see all the work going on you will understand the placement

I would be down with Glow at Kilborne if it is OK with the parks people. I haven't played glow there yet, and would gladly run it either day.

wahhh... when I played Reedy in like 2004, I stuck a pine tree in the top of my head on the second hole. It rained. It poured. I bled. I picked wood chips out of the gash in my scalp. And somehow, I won. (advanced)
3 months later, I picked MORE WOOD out of an unhealed wound in my scalp. Good times...

The merch dollars from players pack and winnings can be used at any Charlotte Club event correct? Just want to double check because I will prob. leave right after round to get back to Hickory for Father's Day stuff and haven't spent anything from this week yet.

MJ did not sweep - he lost the playoff on Saturday but for some reason is listed as making more money that Schweb?!?
To my knowledge, no one has swept the Points Bonanza and this is probably as close as anyone will ever get.
