Let me know if any ladies are talking about this one. I went last year and had a pretty good time and met some new women (thanks to Winz!) I would love to go again this year, but only if there'll be some other ladies.

Sponsorship Signs are all sold out.A total of nearly $2,000 added cash has been raised.
All the sponsors info has just been sent to the radio people.Commercials and plugs should start tomorrow.
Remember the radio people will also be there the day of the event with a live broadcast and i'll be expecting the news crew as well.(Be on your best behavior)
With the tournament and the pools open i'll expect nearly 800 people or better at the park that day.Radio coverage should pull in even more with prizes being offered to people who show and shoot at a practice basket.
DONE!!!

Your (being Furdog) best behavior might be a little subjective /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I think he means that the babe ruth in the pool might be OK as long as its not the real thing ;)

I think this Alma Greens is going to be cool. If things go bad for me on the first round then I'm going to spend the 2nd round in the pool. I'm going to bring some scuba gear, hang out on the bottom, and float air biscuits to the top until I run everyone off. :o....Then again, I could just take my shirt off and that normally works just as well.

I'll be down there on Friday afternoon. I got a room at the Meadors Inn (right across from the course) for $36. I need a soft bed to sleep in before I go in search of the Holy Hog and victory in spinach town. I hear the food there is good also. They are a sponsor of this tournament so if you are coming down early you might want to give them some business and let them know DG'ers appreciate them. :)...I told them I would play guitar for a free meal. I don't know how many rooms they have left but I wouldn't wait.

I want to check out the course early since I've never been there before. Anyone want to get together and jam on acoustic's in the park the night before, let me know.

On another note, according to Tom, Alma is a dry county so you'll have to load the cooler in Fort Smith.

I think Treat might be coming down and maybe Wise if he can grovel his way out of the house. :o

Now THAT"S what I was lookin for.You guys sure like to wait till the last minute.
Like i've mentioned before.Bring your swimsuits,Bug Spray,(Wait till you get into AR to buy the beverages,Ours are better)Buy in Ft Smith,"Not" Van Buren or Alma.Crawford County is dry.The quickest way to AR brew is this.
Get off at the Roland exit(That's Roland OK)Go all the way into Ft Smith(Cross the bridge)You'll know it's a bridge cause there's water under it.
When you cross the bridge your automatically on Garrison Ave.Keep going straight it runs into Rodgers Ave.Keep truckin east on Rogers. There's several mini marts along the way.
NOW!!! Keep going east on Rogers until you hit I 540."Go North"
I 540 picks up I 40 east in about 5 minutes(That's AR slang for about 5 to 7 miles)
This is only about a 30 minute trek but adds about twice the fun to your brew. ;)
DID YOU ALL GET THAT?
