Ola, Columbus! If there are 5 pro women at your NT, how much will 3rd place be paying out?

SarahD

Revise: With 8 women, how much will 3rd and 4th places pay?

Is there a bunch of the purse going to charity again this year?

Are you seriously asking for a payout a week before the event? You already know you are in 3rd or 4th without playing in the event yet?

Yes we always donate money to The Leukemia Society.

Are you seriously not going to answer until the event is full? How many times have you beaten both Feldberg and Klimo at an event?

I'm sure 1st and 2nd will be great payouts - that's usually a given - and perhaps you failed to notice that Elaine has thrown down a G-round lately and Angela beat most of the pros at Pittsburgh in two rounds last week, so let's be realistic here.

3rd and 4th place payouts can be either pretty great (see Marshall Street) or pretty lousy. I'd just like to know the math is all. Logistics first.

Only 3 spots paid out in 2006 with 8 women: same this year or paying out to 4?

Sarah,

Not sure of the payout, Paul Jay is running the event and has the ultimate decision on that. I highly doubt he is checking this board at this point, he has been working on the course for weeks most of the day and doing odds and ends the rest of the time.

On that note, if you are not already in the tourney, you are most likely not going to get in. The event shows 86, but I am pretty sure there are more like 95+ in there at this point. He was waiting on snail mail and other things before he updated the final 90 players to my knowlege. Hope this helps...

Sounds to me like you need to go back to playing for plastic. I can't fathom that you are sponsored by Discraft and posting the stuff you are. But hey They are a great company, I'm a former Discraft sponsored player, Say Hi to Pad for me sweetheart.

Why not look at last year 9 played 5 cashed......

From my recollection, The women are treated like Queens in C-bus with them even getting to play in a final 9, but what do I know. I have never beat Dave and Kenny in an event......

SarahD
Jul 07 2008, 12:07 PM
4, there was a tie.

Listen, this isn't personal, geez. It's just a numbers game. If you were sponsored, then you know we don't get entry fees paid for and we have to outright win to get a bonus.

Being treated like a queen is nice, sure, but what I'm doing is called budgeting. Predicting what place I could reasonably take down, seeing how much it will pay, balancing it against expenses and determining if its a good gameplan. Why in the world would you get so snippy about a female with budgeting skills?

are we all supposed to be mindless spenders who throw money around whimsically? Incidentally, i do not own, nor will ever own, a Coach purse.

But thanks for getting back to me and letting me know the event is full. Back to planning.

Oh, and Discraft IS a great company. I wear their logo with pride, but I'm not the type to beg my sponsoring company for unearned money.

Now, if there's any rich, single guys in the Pittsburgh area who want to sponsor an enthusiastic, single, massage therapist........then you'll see all the 'right attitude' you can handle!

Really? But every one else is game? Oh only if they are overseas Right? :D
