How do you long time Pred throwers rate the ESP as compared to the Z? The Z is in my bag as my #1 hyzer disc. I have an ESP, but I've only thrown it a few times in the field. It seems to be less overstable/longer, but I have not thrown it enough to know for sure. What are your opinions of the ESP compared to the Z?

I've thrown both for a headwind driver. I'm throwing the ESP Predator these days. It might be a little less overstable than the Z, but it is plenty overstable for my throwing style.

For me, nothing beats a Z. The Pred is my jack-of-all-trades overstable disc. Besides headwinds, I use it mainly for spike hyzers, overhand shots, and forehand rollers. I need it to be able to take a lot of abuse and to stay stable. In other molds, I am happy to use lower grade plastic and carry multiples when they start to beat up, but for my wind/hyzer disc I need predictability.
I threw the ESP briefly, but I didn't like the grip and it got nicked up a little too easily. I didn't notice changes in stability, but Z-plastic is just unbeatable if you're looking to have a disc last for a while.

The Z is more overstabe but the ESP reminds me of an X that doesn't break in that much. I little less stable than the z.
Both are good discs for different shots.

The ESP does not have the skip -- the flight is the same, it's the Z's predictable skip that makes it a much more useful disc.

Z. I want the disc to hold the hyzer line. my ESP will flip up ever so slightly, has its use, but an X pred does that job even better.

X-Preds used to be huge when I threw them. They would hold a great distance anny and flex perfectly at the end.
Anyway i don't know anything about the ESP so Z wins.

ESP plastic all in all has simply made me appreciate Z more. I have tried both versions of the Avenger, Predator, Surge, XL, Buzz, and Wasp. I prefer all except the XL and Surge in Z plastic. Especially the Buzz and Wasp where the Z versions seem to glide more effortlessly. The XL is the one mold that flies indisputably better in ESP. The Surge is better in ESP because the Z version has a weighting agent that compromises the durability of the plastic

I LOVE my ESP Predator. Very predictable. Very Stable...

The Pred in Z has always been my favorite. A heavy one and a lighter one (165) that is beat up are always in my bag.
The more I throw the Tracker in ESP, the more I like it. It handles such a wide variety of shots and distances.

I voted for the third option... While the Z-Pred is probably a more valuable disc in my bag overall.... I've found the ESP Predator fits nicely in the same role that I've used Tsunami's and X-Predators for in the past (a high speed slightly overstable driver).

I agree.
The ESP is much faster and a little less over stable, and it does not cut my hand like the tsunami did.
