They are on E-bay; who has thrown them and how different are they than the Star TeeRex? Similar to the difference between the Star and Champion Wraith, or any other discs for that matter? Champion everything seems to be less stable with the exception being Star Gator (less stable), and the extreme being the Star Starfire (way more stable).

I have only seen the TeeRex "X" mold in the Champ plastic. They are a little more stable. www.discgolfvalues.com (http://www.discgolfvalues.com) has them for sale.

i bought a blue champion teerex from discgolfvalues.com and it is really nice. i think it has a little more glide out of the box than the star plastic brand new. the discs are very domey and cruise out of your hand, i like mine. Very OVerstable at the end. Rj

I think the main difference is the mold, not the plastic.
As Josh pointed out, the Champion TeeRexs he's seen are the "X" mold. That's all I've seen too.
Same thing with the Starfire. The Star and Champion Starfires are a way more stable mold than the one used for the Pro Starfire.
The Pro Starfire is closer to the SL.
I, for one, wish Innova would stop tweaking molds, yet calling them the same disc name. The difference between a Pro and Star Starfire is extreme, but I digress. :p
Look at the initials on the bottom of your TeeRex. If it says "TR" or "STR", it's the original TeeRex mold. If it says "TRX" or "STRX", it's the newer, more stable, "X" mold.
I love them both, for different reasons.
Beat up a "STR" and you've got a very dependable disc that will go very far, very straight for a long ways before fading hard.
Take a "TRX" or "STRX" and you've got a disc you can crank the heck out of and not have to worry about it flipping over on you, but it will go and go and go, then fade hard.
It's also, of course, great for huge spike hyzers, and long anhyzers on which the flex is very dependable.

I believe they do have champion teerexes (however, I have not used one) that are not the teerex x. They sell them at discgolfvalues.com. I throw a champion teerex x and is it quite a bit more stable than the first run star teerex.

My champ Wraith-X broke in very quickly (5-6 rounds) and is now more understable vs. my star Wraith. I'm not sure if I'm getting more snap on the champ plastic (i.e. seems less stable) or if it just gets flippy very quickly. Not sure if TR-Xs have the same issues...

Robert, your assessment is correct. I've been throwing one for a couple weeks and the Champion TeeRex is just a little less overstable than the Star version and seems to have a little more glide as well. It's great for big forehands/flicks or for players with powerful backhands for max D. Like the champion Wraith I think it will break in and become slightly less overstable more quickly than the older Champion drivers with smaller rims like a Teebird or Firebird. I really like it because it's not quite as overstable as a Star TeeRex yet you can lean on it more than the Star Wraith without turning it too much. Plus if you do it's Definately coming back! Get one while you can, only one small run of this version.

Ok, I ordered 4 of the Champion TeeRex with the US Masters stamp. It says they only made 140; I kinda hate to throw a disc that they only made a small number of. I try to avoid using, and getting used to discs that are hard to replace (e.g. Champ Roc, or CE anything).

That's the smart way to do it unless you want to buy a stack but I'm sure they will do more runs of the Champion Teerex in the future. As long as it's still in demand the C-TRX makes a great CFR disc.

I just put 2 of the rarer ones I got on Ebay. We are using them to raise funds for the Iron Lion Safari. The ones online are the only 2 ICE plastic versions we got. There are still others available, and IMO, the stamp is the sickest Ive seen on these yet. 20 bucks. Of course, I am a little biased.
The logo doesnt show up well through the photos, but the black and white design is shown here:
www.ironliondgs.com (http://www.ironliondgs.com)
These arent fed into the site yet, so you cant order them through there, but can through a email to
[email protected]
Just let me know what your looking for.
We also have the 1st Run Glow Avairs, with the same stamp.
Also, I agree with what was said above. Ive been throwing them and think they are more overstable than the Star Teerex-X.

I haven't thrown a Star Teerex-X but they are def. more overstable than a Star Teerex. Right now I give it a good grunt and it still has trouble trying to pop up.
the teerex is my favorite disc . i have dx , star , ch , x, fund raiser , i like the dx and champion for stable side arm shots. i think the star is least stable of all and i have to replace it more often. but i can side arm the teerex 50 feet farther than any other disc in my bag

I throw everything sidearm (outside of 30'.)
Maybe that's why I like them so much....
I just sent an email to
[email protected] to see if I can secure some.
Being a Leo, I don't think I can pass that up.

The best TeeRex is the Tee-Rex.
