Acetone & nail polish remover don't seem to work well on removing hot stamps on Innova Star Plastic, any ideas out there?

I use acetone on star and it works fine. I've heard brake fluid.

acetone can damage your disc... brake fluid is equally disgusting.
For a natural, interesting-smelling solution, use clove oil.
Makes your disc smell a little like cinnamon though, for about a week... But it works very well.
Drabble a couple drops on the disc, then gently spread (with your finger or a cloth) in a thin layer over the entire hotstamp. Let set for a minute, then use the same cloth to work it around with some pressure. I have removed hotstamps from all different types of plastics this way.

I put my discs in the dishwasher with normal dish washer soap and they come right off no problem and the whole disc is cleaned. Be careful to either turn off the 'heated' drying or stop the dishwasher cycle if you can not turn off the heated drying. This will damage the discs.

its not brake fluid......its brake CLEANER, and it evaporates with absolutely no residue whatsoever (cuz its used for brakes). And it doesnt harm your plastic at all

The best I have found is "Goof Off" have removed many stamps from champion and star plastic with it, I would not use it on DX.

Acetone doesn't hurt the disc any, but if you use a paper towel with acetone, the paper fibers will scratch up your disc. Use a 100% cotton rag with acetone. I've been taking stamps off star discs last night and today without any problem using acetone.

Same here, Acetone works great for me. Never had a problem with the plastic.

Is there a great big demand for blank discs?
What are the reasons for wanting to remove Hot stamps, besides dying?
We usually try and Stamp our putters with about a .001 of emboss so even if the stamp is removed the outlines of the stamp will still be there.
Besides a slightly embossed stamps looks better IMO!

Keeps the competition guessing as to the disc mold/manufacturer - when your drive/upshot lands under the pin! ;)

Doc wins the prize, I don't want to let anyone know what I am throwing.... keep them guessing.. Just one more thing for the competition to wonder about during the round.... I am using all the same color and plastic with a couple of exceptions but almost everything in bag looks the same....
BTW
I got some good info "Goff Off" is what is used by some manufacturers and it works like a dream, way faster than acetone or anything else I've tried

I've always liked the look of blank discs, especially when the plastic blend has a textured look to it, or discs with only a picture on them. For example, I've got a few wizards that I took the "wizard" text off, leaving only the picture of the wizard.

Mark Ellis has monogrammed MAGNETs from which someone erased the AGN and the T.

Sometimes at a tournament the only available discs in a mold/plastic I'm looking for have a stamp that I dont like. I'll take the disc, I just dont want the stamp.
