I doubt that there will be a PayPal option.
I will ask Dave and let you know.
Last year with no PayPal option this tournament over filled.
My suggestion is that if you want to play this one (and hang out at the pool at my house) you need to send your money in NOW!!!

I have never refused to host anyone (player or non-player) at my house or pool.
For those of you that are verbally challenged let me put it another way: everyone is invited to hang out at my house for the Friday, Saturday and Sunday night players party.
For those of you that are not playing the event I really do wish there was something I could do to change your minds.

The Pool Party
Everyone is invited. Yes, that means both players and non-players.
I am supplying the pool, the grill and the big screen TV.
If you are coming you need to bring food to cook on the grill and CANNED BEER. If you are staying you need to bring your own air mattress, blankets and pillows. Couples get first dibs on bedrooms.
There are a few rules:
No shoes in the house.
No glass at the pool.
No smoking at the pool. Inconsiderate smokers can't seem to keep their butts out of my pool.
Only women are allowed to wear thongs at my pool.
No banana hammocks.
Directions:
If you are coming straight to the house from Charlotte/Greensboro you will want to take 540 from 40 in RTP and follow it all the way until it connects with 64/264 east. You will then take the first exit Smithfield Rd exit (425)
If you are coming from Raleigh you will take 64/264 East from the 440 beltline to the Smithfield Rd. exit (425)
At the light at the bottom of the exit you will take a left onto Smithfield Rd. About 1 mile you will take your first left onto Old Ferrell Rd. About 3/4 of a mile you will take a left onto Amity Dr.
If you are coming from Zebulon you will take 64/264 West and take the Smithfield Rd. exit (425) and take a right onto Smithfield Rd. About 1 mile you will take your first left onto Old Ferrell Rd. About 3/4 of a mile you will take a left onto Amity Dr.
My house is the second and third driveways on your right. Please do not park before on the grass before you get to the second driveway. That is my neighbors yard.

Dave,
You can't go wrong with tt (relax guys, I lower cased it on purpose to aggravate you).
I know this doesn't apply to you but if you are planning on coming to the party Saturday night and you are weak of spirit you might want to avoid me and my house for the party. For those of you that weren't there last year BKS didn't make it back to the tournament on Sunday. The party at my house was a little too extreme for him. Out of 30 events last year that was his only non-cash.
We fed him bad food and bad spirits and they decided they had to get out by whatever exit was necessary.
As I recall he watched movies in the dark for a couple of days.
Last year the 4th worked out perfectly. We started the party Friday and it lasted until late Tuesday night.
One of the funniest lines I ever heard was Tuesday morning at 7 AM one of the ladies staggers in with only her bikini on and says in one of the saddest voices I have ever heard "I can't find my clothes". My quick response was to ask why she bothered to find the bikini as well.
Kirk
I am planning on beeing at the party this year. As you know it totaly whipes you out to play and run the event but I will be there for at leaset a little while this year. Also in years past I needed Saturday evening to get the payout and such taken care of due to all the last minute registrations. With any luck this year I will have that all done before Saturday.
Yea, speaking of Bikinis there were a couple Duke students that contacted Becky and I to play golf. Becky told them to come out yesterday and play... So, they did. Becky tells me the woman was a BEAUTIFUL blond and she played both my course (Rocky Ford) and the CC in nothing but a bikini... AND SHE DIDNT TAKE PICS! :( I was very dissapointed. They are noobs but they just might get an invite back to play more Franklin County courses! :)

cool shweb... I would love to see you there! The course is totaly redesigned for the tournament. No crossovers. We will only be using 3-5 of my orriginal holes. So with the #s of golfers the homegrown has been getting it should flow well with 90 or more golfers.

Special thanks to CuTT, Paul Vignola, and who ever else has cleaned up out at Zeb. CuTT Paul and I spent about 6-7 hours out in Zeb last Friday... We ran the weed eaters on EVERY hole out there... We also did a bunch of limb trimming and general Cleanup... CuTT and bS Johnson are supposed to do some trash pickup. In my opinion once the park mows the grass again Zeb will look the best it ever has.
Cutt, bS Johnson, and Paul also helped me out at Rocky Ford getting ready for the home grown 6/24. For those that don't know Rocky Ford is my course in my back yard. Rocky Ford is normaly 12 permanent holes that share 8 baskets.. For the Home grown (due to the fact that they are getting over 100 people at some events) I have re-designed the course using my neighbors property and have 18 holes with NO crossover or shared baskets. The course came out very well, it is just shy of 5000 feet.. I have 4 elevated baskets (on rocks) some are over 5 feet higher than a normal basket. It is very fun to play!! If it is windy it will be a huge factor! :)

Alright Robert, I did mention that there was another tournament at my house that day but I wasnt gona start posting tee times and such but since you started here goes! :) Just having fun here! :)
Practicing Zebulon is a total waste of time! LOL :) Anyone in their right mind should be at Rocky Ford on the 24th... Tee time is 10:30AM players meeting at 10:00AM. I guarantee the Homegrown will be more fun than the RADL montly... Alright, never mind, playing golf anywhere is super fun and it all depends on what kind of round your looking for. I am deffinetly NOT trying to discourage people from playing Zeb since that course is MY baby to! :) Like Robert said. Wherever you choose to play this weekend, have fun!

hard to miss a tourney on the best course in NC
If you check the records Zeb always has a large open field and it always brings out some old rusty golf games. LIKE MINE!!! **** my rating sucks! I think I'm goin back to Advanced! :)
I just looked, For the last few years the number of pro players has been as follows
2007 18 pros (More on the way, some VA Beach guys are playing pro they have $$ in the mail. I still havent heard from some locals that I expect to play as well)
2006 27 pros 10 DNF (OMG... to much fun at KIRKS!!)
2005 23 pros
2004 13 pros
2003 24 pros
2002 21 pros
2001 17 pros
Ok so maybe a lot of pros is to strong but the tourny does average well over 20 players

Would GTW be my "Lil-Buddy" Greg Williams from the Kentwood days in the early 80's?
YOU KNOW IT WOULD!!! He is back, has been for a while and playing well when he has time to play... He won the Cha-Ching and Zing 2 years ago I believe and always plays well out there... He also has the tounrament course record at -44 tied with Brian McCree! :)

Ok Intermediates. Just finished the RADL Monthly held at Zebulon. Congrats Jeb on your 47 It was fun to watch. Ok, here it is Toomis shoots a 57. Now that is bagger material. So if he's that hot we better bring bigger bags. Good Stuff Tooms, hope were on the samr card at least one round so I can Watch (bother) ya. I better go practice.
Thanks Radl it was alot of fun.

close Rocky...Jeb had a 48, I had the 47.
Too bad Jeb still got me.
Oh well. Felt good to finally get a good round for the first time in a while
Rocky is just getting his 7's and 8's mixed up because I shot 58 not a 57. Then, I shot 65 the second round which isn't going to get it done. It'd be really nice to string four rounds of 58 together next weekend though. I gotta just remember to not shoot what you're shooting Rocky. I don't want some big bagger bothering me.
Yes, Walt did shoot 3 10s... I knew there was another person... Don't know how I forgot that!

... He also has the tounrament course record at -44 tied with Brian McCree! :)
According to the results going back to 2001 LL has the tourney record with a 42 in 02. He also has a 43 as does Greg Williams and Haney. Several 44's out there but I'm not sure if the course played easier back then. Anyone know what holes if any have changed at Zeb since 2002?
the course is not the same as it was in 2002. I believe 2 holes are different, 7 and 11. They are both a bit longer ( 7 is over 100 feet longer). But you are correct (man I realy need to go look at the records before talking like I know what Im saying) 43 is the CURRENT correct course record held by GTW, and Walt. See I knew there were only two people at that score! LOL sorry for the confusion!

You could still drop by right after the second round is over. The most excitement then will be people jumping in the pool, grilling dinner and having their first of many beers.
It won't get too exciting until long after dark.

you could do a hole past hole 9 down the pipeline - only problem would be flow (having to walk back down the fairway after playing it) and its nasty off the fairway.
You could make hole 16 in two holes also.

Well, speaking as someone who asked to be put on the wait list when I heard there was one, I see nothing wrong with requesting to be put on an existing waitlist as long as the player doesn't expect that will guarantee him a spot. Sometimes you just don't know if you can play or not until the last minute.
A TD should always have the option of saying, "No, I'm not going to have a waitlist, preregister or take your chances," but if he/she does the waitlist, then people are going to be ask to be on it.

Thanks both Dave and Kirk! Great tournament and fun party! I wouldn't mind playing Zeb. with using the gravel road O.B. in between hole 3 & 5's fairway, alot of conflict/distraction/slow downs in that area. Also hole 16's pin would fit nicely on the hillside to the right, players would be coming off of their 4th "Hyzer out of the tee" in a row and, that's where the next tee box heads anyway... I would help set a new sleeve...

it was a huge tree that fell on the left side of 7 up about 50' short of the basket. i did not hear it but we finished on that hole and when i saw the top of the tree laying in the fairway i remember thinking "where did that come from?" then mansi told me he heard it fall earlier. second juffman thank god no one was hurt

Def. a good thing no one was hurt and that the basket was not damanged.

Hole 7, left side, landed on some of the players disc's, we had to roll the tree out of the way from the left side of the basket. Part of it did land on the putting surface of hole 7, missing the basket, 5 maybe 7 ft. Scared heck out of us. Sean said he hit it with an Avair and it fell.

I was on this hole when it happened. Can't remember everyone on the card but we had teed and I was throwing my second shot when we heard the cracking, we look up and here it comes crashing down across the fairway. A guy from Charlotte (nurse) was hit by some of the branches but unharmed. Man, we all had to change our shorts after that one!

we were on the hole and and all less than 50 ft from the 150ft tree when it happened. the very top of the tree fell on ralph vickers (i think), all came away unscathed.

that was a good lesson in why you do not run directly backwards in the direction of the fall. everyone broke sideways except ralph who ran straight back, luckily he was fast enough to make it 148 ft.
