Lake Bistineau is 15 miles south of Haughton, La (exit 33 on I-20). The course is at a very beautiful State Park. The fee is $1. The championship 6500' course is designed by Kevin Pelton and the Shreveport Disc Golf Club. It has new Discatchers with 2 pin placements and am tees on some holes. There is a nice mix of holes; some are lake-park-like, some fresh-cut-woods, 1 885' field-like to a keyhole approach, 1 downhill highline, 1 downhill biketrail and the several finishing holes are straight out of a picture postcard of cypress trees with low low hanging moss.

This course is great! If you can get to play it you will not be disappointed!

Finally got a chance to play this course over the weekend...easily one of the most scenic courses I've ever been to. The Cypress trees draped with moss was something I had never seen in person before...totally beautiful! Almost all of the pins were in the short position, which meant several "gimme" birdies on the front 9. The back, however, had some truly tough holes. Even in the rain, this course was well worth the hour and 45 minutes it took for us to get there. Can't wait to see an event out there!
