Best of luck to everyone at the Crooked Creek Classic. This fine course is in great condition at this time (though a little rain, to flush and fill the crooked creek, would be nice).

Anyone interested is invited to drop by Stoney Hill, about 30 minutes away, after rounds on Saturday or Sunday, or on Memorial Day after the Classic, to play the course in preparation for the Stoney Hill Challenge (June 9)....or just to play.

Are the sidewalks O.B.?

i think the answer to that is, when have they not been O.B. i think i am going to try to get back down this year to try to make this the only event i have ever won 3 times

those sidewalks being OB is the sole reason I have an open win....

That and some filter on the next to last added hole.

Hooray, we've been trying to figure out family schedules for this weekend, and Coleman and I get to play! Anyone know what layout(s) will be used ... will we get to play those fun "additional" holes that wrap around the ball fields?

Brent Jarrett informs me that we are playing the ORIGINAL 18. Of course there are multiple pin/pad placements for some of those holes and they will be utilized.

I'm really looking forward to playing this weekend. I have heard nothing but good things about the course.

It is a GREAT course!

I have yet to defend my 05 Open title there. Both years since I won it have been on the Virginia Open weekend, sadly.

Looks like fabulous weather for this weekend, as well. Hope everyone has a great tournament. Be sure to thank the staff, as a relatively small group has done a great job keeping up the course.

I really enjoyed the tournament and the course. I would like to thank the local club for putting such a good tourney together. Really liked #7, the island hole, I have never gotten to play a hole like that. Was able to make it on 3/4 times. Ended up getting my first win in Intermediate. Choked last round and almost blew it though. I hope to come down and play in the tournament next year.

Thanks. And I really can't remember. I think there was only 4 people playing in open though.

Also any1 have any idea when the scores might be up? I'm just curious to what my first 3 rounds ratings where. I would rather not see the last round...

PERFECT weather, too!

Some results: Luke Reiser won open in a playoff over Cuban in Open. Zack was playing with a handicap, though - Greg Thompson cracked him in the head with a Roadrunner at 280 feet and opened a serious wound over his right eye just 1/2 hour before the first round. (Zack, thanks for not killing the kid!) AB beat Mel Shuman in a playoff in Pro Masters. The top Pro Masters beat the open by 10 strokes on the tournament. Sarah Stanhope continued her great play (at least 3 of 4 rounds) - I'm pretty sure she was sitting under par going into the last round. Bill Ball lead all the way in Grands.

I too would love to see the scores up - I can't report any winnings myself but I sure was pleased with 3 out of 4 rounds!

Said the man that couldn't do the tourney because of fear of a 190ft hole...

Any word on scores yet. Seems every time I do good at a tourney the scores take a while and when I do bad they are on b4 I even get home... :( :D
