I am going to Arizona on business this week. I will be staying at the Radisson Ft McDowell around Fountain Hills.

I would appreciate some course suggestions...

Thanks...

I live in the area and the nicest courses are the Fountain Hills course and Vista Del Camino. The 18 hole fountain couse is rough so you will most likely lose some of your discs (water on half of the holes) unless you really know what you are doing. The 18 hole Vista course is a flat grass course with water hazards also but you can retrieve your discs from the lake easier and buy replacements at Spinners. There is also a 9 hole desert course at Moeur Park with much less chance to lose plastic but demands more technical shots. I may play Vista Monday or Tuesday morning around 9am if you need someone to throw with.

Buffalo Ridge is fun too, but it's getting hot now.

Thanks for the advice. I arrive Wednesday at 2:30 and will probably head straight to one of the courses.

I am leaning toward Fountain or Vista. I will bring some older plastic so I don't have to worry about the water holes. I just need to keep enough to finish 18!!!

Thanks again....

Since you're staying near Fountain Hills, that course is a must. Be very mindfull of the water, however, the setup that you play will be nowhere near as precarious as the Memorial setup.

Vista is a pleasant play, although (IMO) not terribly unique or memorable in it's regular setup. Moeur Park (in Pagago Park) is rather close to Vista, so it's possible to play both. Moeur is old-school short, but is an interesting desert setting.

If you have extra time (and water) try to play Buffalo Ridge. It is an interesting desert course, winding up and down a rocky hill. Try to contact a local to usher you, cuz some of the tees and holes can be tricky to find, and you don't want to waste time (and water) searching.
