Hello tribe,
We will be putting baskets in the ground at historic Ford Park in Redlands, CA in two weekends. High-end pitch n' putt 9- holes, accessible to all and a decent mid-game workout for those with experience, all in a very picturesque park.
We are taking a bit more time to do the tee signs. The City's Public Works Department has been tremendously supportive throughout, and would like to see examples of some of the tee signs that are being used at other courses. Size, durability and aesthetics all figure into this equation. Posts, in the ground, all options would be appreciated.
So when you're out playing a round this week (or soon) bring along the camera and snap off a few photos of the tee signs, if you will. Please either post them here or pm me with them.
Thanks in advance,
Bill Maury-Holmes

I took a bunch of picture of Kereiakes Park in BG, KY. They have pretty good tee signs, as shown:

Bill, none of the courses I regularly play at (Little Lehigh Parkway, Jordan Creek, Roland Park, Nockamixon, etc.) have tee signs that are anything special. However, I will see if I can make a special trip out to Tinicum Park which has some very nice tee signs. Additionally, I'm told that the new world class course at Deer Lakes Park outside in Pittsburgh is getting some new tee signs that are reportedly 'superb.' I'll see if I can make contact with one of my local connections out there for some pictures.

Many thanks friends for the input. Have already gotten some great diversity and ideas that will make presenting options easy. I'm impressed with much of what's now available.
Keep 'em coming.

Here's a metal tee sign from a course in Visalia, CA. A good example of what wear and tear on a metal sign looks like.

Not the prettiest to look at, but these tee signs from Stafford Lake in Novato, CA have some of the best information I've ever seen on a tee sign (distance for every tee/pin combination PLUS elevation change). The GoogleEarth pictures also make it easy to pick out exactly which tree you're looking at.

This sign from Redding is an example of the way plexiglass covers age.

Clear plastic can look cool - but how will it age?

Yer standard-issue DGA peel 'n stick tee signs. What I like here is the series of holes drilled to hold the bolt indicating pin location.

Don't do what they did in Saugus - just a number on a post... "Where's the basket?" heard often.

A little hard to see here, but the Ed course at the IDGC has nice signs made by IFO in Atlanta.

Now that man has done some traveling! Tour de Rizbee coming to your town soon.
Thanks Allen for the breadth, and for capturing some of what happens with age. Some of the examples I've been sent are clearly stepping up with new technologies and applications that surpass what was the standard not long ago. People are doing some very creative (and attractive) work.

Ooh, pretty pictures. I wanna post some!
These are some signs from my most recent projects. Anybody who wants good-lookin' signs, send me a PM. Broke amateur disc golfer with pro art degree needs to do something for food, most likely work.

Aw, Zach, you have a fan. http://www.gtaforums.com/html//emoticons/inlove.gif
Seriously, though - good stuff...I'm still waiting to see them on the course though, but that's for a different thread.

Ha! I'm just the pictures guy. You'll need to ask the pick-up-the-signs-and-frame-them guy
And we've all been looking for that guy, so good luck!
