Can someone use a DGA Mach Lite for Tournament use? Are their any issues or is it a bad idea?
You will not hear the end of it from your players if you use that thing . Unless you are using 18 of them , then everybody will hate you! :D

Shouldn't be a problem IF you tell everyone upfront that's what you're using.

Mach Lite would be acceptable at any event except an NT or Major unless exception granted.

The DGA Mach Lite catches quite well for what it is, but I would DEFINITELY take advantage of the ability to stake the feet into the ground. I've hit some putts that rocked the basket(agressive putts through a narrow horizontal gap) and I suspect that the baskets would tip over at least once without stakes.

I have an OLD lite from 1993. It is a smaller metal version of the Mach 2. I added some extra internal chains. It has been used in lots of events. Used to be that folks criped about it. Now they don't because at least it's metal and not a Skill Shot or a Lite.
While they (and the Skill Shot) are legal, most everyone loves putting into a quality metal basket if given the choice.

Definitely the best choice for transporting a course load worth on a cruise ship!

Will be using 2 Skills this weekend because some hooligans saw fit to destroy 2 baskets at our park

We used Skillshots at our ice bowl last winter. I came up with an idea for making and attaching an extension leg so we were able to set them up on steep sidehills and they were completely level. To me it seemed better than borrowing nicer baskets but being limited flatter basket locations.
