Help! This may be a completely impossible request, but worth a shot. I am giving a group presentation next week to my American History class on the 1980s. One of the things I have been asked to report on personally is sporting events of the 1980s. Of course, I couldn't resist including a mention of Disc Golf. But I need some help from somebody who was in the sport way back then ;)

Was 1982 the first Disc Golf Professional World Championship? (I am going off of the PDGA's information page) If so, is there any chance that someone out there has a surviving video clip or photograph from the event that I could access online? Like I said, maybe an impossible reqest...

A few issues back in Disc Golf World News there was an article about all the world championships and included scores, players names, and photos from the event. I am not sure what issue it was, but that would be a great place to start.

thanks guys... I may switch and talk about the '86 Championship, as that was the one covered in Disc Golf World a few issues ago. It has some decent pictures, plus its a better source to cite (our dumb history teachers don't like .com sources...) this should work.
