My local club is having some trouble finding any hole caps or covers or whatever you want to call them for the alternate basket positions at Glenn C. Hilton. Every time someone tries to move one of the baskets there are always rocks and other things in it, I personally blame the squirrels. Just wondering what other people are using and if there was anything we could find online. Our baskets are DISCatchers.

Thanks,
Chris

Would PVC caps fit? If not a cap, how about sliding a small portion of pipe into the pole with a cap attached to that piece of pipe (this way the cap doesn't have to fit the existing pole, just the piece you are using).

We use PVC caps for our alt placements (Innova DISCatcher Pro baskets).

Go to your local Home Improvment store (or Plumbing supply) and look for "Drain Plugs".
They are expansion plugs that fit into the pipe sleeve and expand when tightened. They have a rubber gasket that seals out EVERYTHING. They also have a 3/8 thread so you COULD attach a Flag or marker with a 3/8 rod coupling and rod to mark the positions in High grass etc.....

They do work AWESOME.........

We had the same problem at De LaVeaga (http://www.delaveagadiscgolf.com) and started using the drain plugs. They work fantastic, really sealing it up and protecting the inside. We had to close hole 17 for regular play (erosion) and these drain plugs have been the only thing that keeps people from jamming sticks in there so they can play it as an object hole.

Hey Chris. Next time you are at Y'ville take a look at the plugs Mole came up with. They work on the same principle as the drain plugs but use dead tennis balls as the gasket/sealer. For that matter, buy one of the "test" plugs/drain plugs and you'll see what I mean and can make your own after that or buy more drain plugs. Both work super.

Chris,

If you contact Harold with Innova, I believe he has a diagram for using sprinkler head covers. Good luck!
