Welcome to the D Board Jason, a State series sounds great, what are you proposing the final prizes to be and how will the final payouts be funded? What time frame are you thinking?

I'm curious, I'll be co TD in our 2 day B tier, the 12th Hell on the Border, Ben Geren, Fort Smith, August 11th & 12th... we might be interested in being part of this...

this will also decide who goes to the usdgc the top eight points leaders will play it off for the spot to go to the usdgc.
i am open to any suggestion as for as how its ran what money goes where i would like to see a part of the money go toward a big added cash tourney at the end of the season from money being taken out of each tourney and added to the pot at the end of the season and also money be taken out for the person who represents us at the usdgc every year

Good to see you jumping on this so quick.
Take it easy son,It's still on for 2007.
We'll probably see a few little changes for 2008 but i'm guessing that this formula will be around for several years to come.
I know that you've been kicking around 2 events per course per year.(One Doubles and One Singles)
If you do get most of the courses involved that could add up to maybe 8 or 10 singles events(These could be the only ones that work for USDGC)
IF you get say 8 events for next year.(That means 8 committed TD's at 5% of the events value.Cash only)
There's your purse for the overall winner.
Kinks with my series were keeping TD's committed(They change hands so you have to keep up with everyone AND the dates need to be solid.That's hard to do.It will change some but can't much.)
The Top 8 are going to constantly be shuffling around so keeping track of them is nessessary as well.(I'm still waiting on Ganzel to give me the added cash amount from Fayetteville.I want to post scores and added cash all at the same time.He needs to call me ASAP)
It's all being ironed out as we go this year.(FUN FUN FUN!)
You'll get plenty of suggestions as it comes time.
The series is a good plan.Alot of fun but remember, ALOT of work as well.
By 2008 there will probably be a few more courses to add to the mix.

you say 8 i say 11 or12 tourneys a year 1 a month one in every town that has18 holes in arkansas if you can imageine something this big i know where just a bunch of disc golfers but we need to come together i say that the formula has to be the exact same for all the arkansas state series one day events go by #a formula and two day events go by #b formula i guess its comming upwith a formula that everyone can agree on
