I'm lookin to try a new putter and i dont feel like wasting the time and money to find what i want.
I have a rhyno now and although i like it a few characteristics of it just pisses me off before the round is over and i loose my putting focus.i need a putter that is good (preferably great) in the wind.
Putters ive tried:
Rhyno: Great high speed flight for putting but the fade isn't always consistent(what pisses me off)
Wizard: awesome for making long runs at the basket but on normal puts would constantly fall short or go way past
Avair: used to absolutley love it but it doesn't preform consistently for me in wind
Rattler:not great in the wind
Tank: if it was still in production there wouldnt be a need for this thread.
Touchline putter: ive messed around with my friend's and liked it but i just cant seem to build any kind of groove with it
Magnet/challenger: same as aviar
JuJu: it just sux plian and simple
Banger GT: the dip in the middle messes with me
Lightning Putters: i dont remember which one it was but i didnt like it
Any suggestions or recomendations would be greatly apperciated

You are looking for answers in all the wrong places...Putting requires great skill to even be able to make 1/2 your 20 footers, let alone a higher percentage consistantly. This is true no matter what putter you use. You just need to pick one and get at least 5 just like it for practice. A new disc is not the answer. It sounds like you liked the Wizard, so I would get some more and go with it. Is it really the putter's fault if it is short on some putts and way too long on others? To me that sounds like you throw it way too hard sometimes, and too soft others, which means you need some more straight repetitions to really get your muscle memory dialed in.
In a nutshell you need to committ to a putter, a style, and a routine. I don't know anyone who has had any success at ADV or higher without these three cornerstones in place regarding their putting game.

Sounds like you have the right putter. Rhynos are great in the wind and have a consistant fade. Its most likely your form that is to blame and not the putter. Maybe switch to a new, fresh rhyno?

I have to agree with discspeed on this one. If all of those putters aren't working for you, you need to work on your putting more than trying to find a "magic" putter.
One thing to remember when putting in the wind ... everyone else is putting in the wind too! So in competitive terms, the playing field is even. You're not going to have a big advantage because of your putter.
Get something like the Wizard, or a Big Bead Aviar, and stick with it. I usually carry a gator, or even a Demon in my bag on windy/extreme days just in case I want to make a run and it's just too windy to use my regular putter mold.

I think you will like that. Usually when I hit a putting slump, it is because I think my putter is something that it's not. Usually I think it is more overstable than it actually is, because I've used it for too long. So I go grab another and BAM it's on.

I used to be like you, searching for that magic putter, but after trying almost every putter imaginable I find them in the Aviar-X's. The work the best with the my style, and I can use them as mids too. They have the perfect feel for me. The best advice is to use one of those putters you have listed, preferably the one that feels most comfortable to you, buy several of them and practice practice practice.

Thats what i been thinking; that it just got beat up into something different.
Oh, and its EASY! to make 1/2 your 20 fters, that should be 9-10 outta 10. My form is cherry. And if the putter didnt matter then there would only be 1 kind of putter not a bunch...hmmmmm.

If your rating is 869, I doubt your form is "cherry". Unless cherry means bad...then your form is likely cherry. Frankly, I have no idea what that means. Putters don't get much more overstable than a Ryhno.

Im pretty sure that everyone could use the same putter but companies make more money from people who will buy one of every putter they put out to see if it is the "magic" putter. Everyone has preferences and everyone putts different and that is why people use different putters in different plastics but for the most part it isn't the disc its the thrower.

dsPROnothin, aka, Daemon Stahlin has been the best putter I've seen so far this year.(Wizard)
The Top Am1 player in the World Amateur Championship putting contest used a Pro Ryno.(Jeff Kuehle) The Runner-up and third place contestant used a Wizard(Zach Vaughn and Naved Hasnain).
One of the Pro Worlds Championship putting contest winners used a KC Pro Aviar(Mike Durco).
Doesn't matter what you use, its how you use it.

This pretty much sums up my thoughts...but here are a couple other opinions.
There are two "styles" of putters, "lids" and faster putters. The lids are flat and slow...very consistent. The other putters (the majority, by far) are all variations of the same thing. As I see it, once you've selected a style of putter, the rest is 95% technique. The 5% are things like how beat up your putter is and whether the feel of the putter gives you confidence. I personally perfer a Soft Challenger, but I think the disc matters very little other than I like the feel and that improves my confidence.

wow. It sounds like you have the same problems as me. Here is what i have to say.
Rhyno: It was my first putter and thought that i couldnt live without is. very good in close and the wind never effected it. When i got outside and tried to make the long putts it faded off when i didnt want it to and it seemed very inconsistant.
Next came the wizard.
Wizard: I was putting the best i ever putt with this disc, I could sink almost anything (or at least that was how I felt) I was good in the wind and very predictable, but I just had troubles judging when it was going to drop.
Then I went to the tank.
I thought that it was the last putter I was going to have. It was very straight, dead straight actually. I liked how it would drop and how predictable it was. ( dont base the drop off of what i say to much as the two i could find were 160 and 156) and that was the problem i couldnt find any in the weight i wanted.
I wanted to combine all of the putters as Iliked different aspects from each of them.
That led me to the 11x KC pro aviar.
the 11x had some glide so i could hit the outside putts without it fading to much. I had a flat to almost concave top so that it didnt have tooi much glide. It seems to be inbetween the stability of the wizard and tank. It also seems to hold up in the wind pretty good. Just remember it is only the 11x.

Dude, it is all in your head. There are dozens of putters because something different will "click" with every player. One player falls in love with a Wizard because it feels good in his hand (EXTREMELY IMPORTANT), buys 10 & grooves. All of a sudden an excellent Wizard putter. Another player, same scenario with an Aviar; another with a Birdie, another with rubber dog vomit. Adopt something that feels great & don't look back.
That said, a weird putting slump can sometimes be alleviated by putting (temporarily) with anything else except your "go-to" putter. I use a Goblin when that happens. Once your mind gets right, though, switch back to your baby (for me a 3x JK) & all will be right with the world.

Buy a Stack of White Pro D Challengers!!! And by stack I mean 5 to ten!!! Take all the stamps off so they look exactly the same!!! I know this may seem wierd but your brain will like the fact that they all look the same!!!
Buy a basket and practice about 100-200 putts from 15-25 ft every night and youll be amazed at how much better of a putter you will be come!!!
Challengers in my opinion are the best putter on the market!!!

if you're going to respond to people's criticism like this...you shouldn't have started this thread
usually people start threads to get feedback of some sort...that's what you got...don't bash them for responding to a question that almost every disc golfer has
just my 2 cents
oh yeah....try practicing more with a disc that is comfortable to YOU....i'm not a good putter myself...but i promise you that if i practiced 100-200 putts everyday, i would be playin' pro within a few months

Did you ever stop to think that it takes a different technique to putt in the wind and not a "wind" putter. I don't usually switch putters for the wind I just putt differently.
Into a headwind I putt either 30% harder or 30% softer. It depends on the backdrop and surface. With a tailwind I aim for the rack and usually harder too. I will occasionally switch to a newer JK Aviar in my bag for extreme wind conditions because my main putter now weighs 166G (down from 175G).

Normally, I try to avoid spamming, but since I have not seen any suggestions that answer your question, here are four discs we make, that might work for you. If you want the wind performance and reliability of a Rhyno with Aviar P&A type feel and performance, you might try the JK Aviar, BB Aviar, KC Aviar, or the soon to be released P2 from Discmania. None of these discs are on your list of things you've tried. These are all driver type Aviars that are more stable than the putter type Aviars.
Other manufacturers may have their own suggestions.

iow, a big bead Aviar is the best putter on the market unless you want a cloned version thereof (such as the Challenger -- hold them up together if you don't believe me -- the Aviar was released by Dave/Innova in 1984).
thus, if you like soft plastic -- get a JK Aviar-x
if you like hard plastic -- get a KC Aviar
both above versions of the Aviar use the big bead driver mold which is more high speed stable and has more slow speed fade than a regular Aviar and thus they are great in the wind.

Dave D, I wouldn't call great advice Spamming!
But,,,, thanks for the lead in, I think thats my cue.
Wizards and Warlocks both fly pretty much the same for putts and lay ups. One has a bead( Wizard) and the other doesnt( Warlock). To me it sounds like you didnt give the Wizard enough time, How many of one single putter mold do you own?
Take the advice on getting a stack of putters all the same weight flex and surface feel. Wizards of course!
BTW,
how would you describe your putting style.
straddle, Rock and fire, push, flick, Loft, Hyzer, flat, reverse??
Where do you aim on 20 footers? 30 footers?

That's what I was thinking!
I used to putt with KC Aviars but they didn't behave consistently for me in the wind. The wizard with a more streamline profile was the answer for me. I used to hate playing in the wind but now it is honestly something I look forward to since I started gaining confidence with my wizards. Next time you get some moderate to major winds just sit at a basket and experiment putting with different strengths and angles. Try to show the wind as little of your disc as possible! I like the glow wizards because they are stiff enough, very grippy in different conditions, don't deflect off chains, beat up nicely, are priced right, and i don't have to change my putter for night play

I know I suck at putting but Nikko and Boro are 2 of the best around. everyone can use a lesson or 2 especially from the guy who makes the discs.
