Consider this me droping a line in the water ......
Who in the area would consider league play? Consisting basically of piggybacking on top of a local mini ?
Let me paint a picture .
Twice monthly in conjunction with a local mini, the players could pay an additional fee on top of the existing mini fee to be elidigble for the pay out after the league has run it's course.
This additional money could break down as follows
x amount of money towards a traveling ace pot
y amount of money towards an administration fee
z amount of money to final pay out at the end of the league .
Division structure will exist as it always does . Pro's, Adv. Am's , Intm. Am's , Masters .....
There would have to be a minimum amount of events played to qualify. And a scoring standard would have to be applied. Something similar to the southern national tour format or a handicapping system.....
With all this chit chat of league play as of recent , this would give us the capacity to give the players what they want . Bring additional disc golfers to different courses that they would normally not play. Possibly introduce some league players to courses they would have not otherwise played. Plus, there is always bragging rights .... King ding-a-ling of the funkier side of town. I was thinking that many courses could be used, such as the Z, The Vet, Crowley, Fritz, Cedar Hill, Lake Lewisville ( assuming they still have a mini on Saturdays ) possibly even Weatherford..
For the final , we could set up a temp course in trinity park or something different...
Anybody out there have an opinion... If enough people are interested , we can make this happen!
