Disc golf in Southern California continues to be one of the most enjoyable experiences in the sport. The PDGA National Tour returns to Southern California for 2007. The 2007 Golden State Classic will be held on a revamped layout of the historic disc golf course at La Mirada Regional Park.
Your entry into this tournament includes three rounds of disc golf on the par 64, Dave Dunipace designed,championship
layout at one of the nation�s premier venues.
Bring the family to enjoy all that Southern California has to offer. The Golden State Classic will once again kick off the West Coast swing of the 2007 PDGA National Tour. Following the Golden State Classic, the National Tour will move up the coast to Santa Cruz, CA and then on to Portland, OR.
If you are flying into Southern California, the two airports closest to the park are Los Angeles International (LAX) and John Wayne International in Irvine (Orange County). Hotel information will be posted shortly. Please check the tournament website for updated hotel and event info.
The Southern California Flying Disc Festival will be a part of the Golden State Classic this year. You will have a chance to enjoy World Class discs athletes, including Freestyle champions, K-9 disc competition and demonstrations. You don�t want to miss it!

that was last year when you claimed you were going to play pro, and then went back down to playing ams after your satisfaction of beating me in one event....
i want to know if you are going to do it again, so i can stomp your behind into the new layouts' turf :D

of course you'll have an advantage on those holes since you'll be practicing them daily for the next 2 months and i'll be playing them blind, but i'll still figure on beating you by 10 strokes at least when all is said and done and claiming 3 dbod from you! :eek:

my bag except for 1st run ce teebird and 1st run jk aviar which juliana so nicely keeps resigning for me :D)
is all star or pro discs that i have multiples of and could care less if rhett used them(as long as i got them back after the event) which we KNOW won't happen because he'll throw them into the lake like he almost did the last time i was kind enough to loan him a disc to try out :eek: :eek:

Playing, no, but I recon I'll be out several of the days, seeing if Tim needs what, etc. Hopefully I can play Thursday....I've never played the long course, ANY of the Meets which use the extended Course; just helped.

....so, is this the Event with the $Bill of domination, or is that Masters? :confused:

ANY event where rhett and i play the same course layout at the same tournament are officially sanctioned dbod events, as well as any before, or after rounds we play....

sadly in my storied career :eek:, i've only taken 2 dollars from rhett that i can recall :p

Last year they had a big beer garden setup and donated a bunch of beer and stuff. If I remember correctly, every player (21 and up) got a voucher for two free beers during the tournament. Are you 21 yet, Greg?

well not being the td but someone who tries to help out i'll do my best to help you...

on the socaldiscgolf.org website should be tourney hotel info...

also anywhere in the anaheim/ buena vista area keeps you with in 15 minutes or so from the course...pick your favorite hotel brand and you'll find one close by to lama..
