I like the format. 2-18 hole rounds on Saturday and 27 on Sunday. Watch out for poison oak on any alternate holes. I recommend wearing some pants!!! Thanks to www.final9sports.com (http://www.final9sports.com) for putting this on again. Jen rocks!!...and all of the other volunteers out there putting new pin positions on 17 and 18 and some new bridges I hear. Anybody know anything else? Inquiring minds want to know. :)

So is it Masters or Grannies for you Kenny? And Kenny were you not planning to wear pants otherwise?

There is a new longer pin on hole 5 and on hole 15.

Jim told me about the longer 15, it sounds brutal (I already have enough trouble with that one). You will now have to throw over the creek in two places and you're still putting with the creek behind the basket. I'm trying to invision a longer 5 and I'm having trouble with that. I thought the long position was already at the edge of the trees.

WOW- I just checked the Final 9 Site. New pads for 17 and 18 with 16 close behind. New pins for 5, 15, 17 and 18.

New 5 is about 50 feet right of the old pin and then back another 70 feet we were out there clearing out that area. From tee to basket it is about 520 would be my guess.

Hi Sean,

Is the new #5 pin to the left of the creek then? As I recall, there were two sleeves for #5, both to the right of the creek, with one near the bridge while the second was deeper back and closer to the fence line.

Also, will both rounds on Saturday be the same course, or is the temp course going to be played?

Thanks!

No long 5 is still on the right side of the creek. Where the med pin is the creek makes a left. From there go back 75 feet. It is a hard shot I have only pared it once. Long hole 15 play about 400. Hole 17 short pin is about 400 and the long is about 460. Hole 18 is still short but the tee pad is now by the tennis courts.

From what I have been told both rounds will be the same course.

If someone is currently registered, and can't go, PM me cuz I would like your spot! Can't believe the PRO field filled up so **** fast. I heard the waiting list slackers get thier names pulled from a hat to get in. Guess I should register now for 2009, cuz next years could be full already!

Hi Jonah,

I hope you get a chance to play! I've been through the hat routine... Although, last time it happened to me, everyone in the hat (that stuck around) got in, but lots of people were unhappy--we ended up having a group of 7!! :o

I guess it's a good thing that Orangevale is so popular, but it means signing up well in advance.

Good luck and I hope to see you this weekend!
