Truck arrives @ 3 with 10 yards of concrete & it will start to set in about 3 hrs. We should be able to finish 10-12 boxes today & start breaking forms & backfilling Thursday while the last few boxes are finished. The concrete truck will be driving onto the course over by 2's basket & we can start with 2,3,& 1 (bobcat to 1) at the same time if we have enough people to work the crete. We can have him move over to 4 & do 4, 11, 12 & 5 from there (bob cat to 5, wheel barrows to 12).I think he can drive the path & then down 10 to do 10 & 14... We'll need to have it pretty tightly cooriagraphed, but I know together, we'll make this happen. This is just the map I've planned, if we get there & there's abetter.easier plan - put it into action. Oh yes & "send out your dead" we need bodies on the floor to make this smooth & easy. Thanx again for all the hard work - think about our 1st Sunday mini @ Wilco with concrete boxes... MMM concrete.

Vinnie showed up and decided to play in Masters. Carroll was about to play open to get a piece of V(his words not mine) then heard that the V-ster was playing masters for a better payout. Carroll said "I can take him" and said put me in Masters. Little did we know that the old guys would shoot the better scores! Carroll +6, LT +9, V and Mark S. +10 ( by the way +10 was the best open score!) by the way Carroll asked me to post all this. I would never do this by myself since I've only talked Sh-t once in my life and it was by accident. :D

8 people played open, that was it. vinnie/harrell/denton/tony/johne/martin/justin/johnd. I *think* Denton had the low round, not 100% on that. There was some issue at the end about payout whether it paid our 2 or 3 spots, hope it got resolved!!!

Highlight of the 2nd card round was Justin making a DROP IN 3 on hole 10. That's right. A perfect low drive down the middle PAST the 2 trees around the first curve, and then a sky roller that rolled up perfectly under the basket. Best drive i've ever seen on that hole, and only 3 i've seen taken on 10. That took 2 perfect shots. Nice!

From looking back at the player #'s, format doesn't seem to be the issue. Turnout #'s of 7, 10, 8, etc - not spectacular #'s by any stretch of the imagination (doubles or singles). Maybe the change of venue is the problem - people really must have enjoyed CatHollow. We could always move it back if players prefer the Cat Box over Wilco.

makes me wonder if there is still a 'mini' going on at the catbox on Thursdays. Personally, i'd like to see a Monday or Tuesday mini that swaps between Wilco and Brushy. But, the truth is (at least for me) I get as much enjoyment out of casual non-mini rounds. Our club has enough close-knit members that it sometimes seems easier to put together a casual round of 8 people on the fly, compared to getting a regular mini to have that many or more show up (with the exception, of course, of Wednesdays at OSP). And given that there are more course choices out there to play.....yeah....the low turnout isn't a surprise.

John E you got that right about the casul non mini rounds and not too mention you can actually work on your golf game instead of having to worry about every shot counting. . we had another good time at manor last night. man is that course tough on your game and makes you learn new shots. and when you play with david on the card you get to go searching in the woods for some of his shots. linda and i played there last sun, the tee pads are nice. we might could get there by 430 so let me know

not much has changed as far as holes. #10 is on 11's t box and 11 is a huge anny for righties now. Unsure if the basket is moved for 10 until today. 18's basket is planned to be a practice basket and 18 will t away from the parking lot, that's why there is a pad against the big cedar by the parking lot. I'm going to say -17 is a good doubles score and you won't get paid if you don't shoot at least that. :) Let's have some fun by having a few irish car bombs before we start, bring it Carroll!
