Howdy,
Just thought I'd leave some pictures of the basket I Just finished making. Materials at Home Depot came out to about $35, but I have enough connectors, s hooks, and almost enough piping for another basket. I also had to pick up some tools because I just moved and can't find anything( picked up a pvc pipe wire saw and a utility knife).

I used the Mini-Sota design, but changed a few things.
Specs:
-16 gage steel chains (have 16 now.. need 2 more to have 18)
- Hot Glued "S" hooks to hang chains from
-3/4" PVC tubing (great size and a 10' piece was only $6)
-Whamo Ultimate Frisbee for top
-Storage Bowl for Basket (modified it by cutting the top off. then gluing it lower in the bowl to smooth out the top and add some strength to the basket)
-Disassembles into 5 pieces for easy storage and travel.

Let me know what you think and Post your designs!!

I used a home made basket today at a Bakersfield tourney that was so bad that I think it gave me cancer.

I made this full size one on my patio a few years ago from 5/16" rod, 3/8" rod, 1 1/2" pipe and 2/0 straight link chain. It took about 16 hrs and cost about $90 then.

Thanks. I wish I had a better pic of when it was new. It has about 400,000 miles on it now with one broke weld, loose joints and a little rust. It's been passed around some and seen a lot of tournaments. It came back to me a few weeks ago and I plan to restore it's luster and rattle it again.
