I was wanting to talk to you guys a little about park day coming up on April 14th, which is a Saturday. I was hoping for a few things in fact.

1. Maybe some of the disc golfers would be willing to volunteer in some capacity. They could possibly wear some disc golf shirts and even get their name out a little more.

2. I thought the disc golfers might want to have either an informational booth, or a game booth. The idea that came to mind was maybe the portable basket and trying to throw discs in...but I have lots of other ideas if you would rather do something else!

I would really like to talk in person if that is ok. Maybe we could meet out at the park when it fits your schedule. My main goal is to get disc golf out in the public eye as much as possible, and I thought that this would be a good way to do it. Let me know if you are interested, and we can plan some time to get together. Thanks so much.

Ok, got confirmation from Shawn Low that McClain grand opening is on the same date as Live Oak Park day.. :(

So Jimbob and I decided to miss out on McClain opening :( and volunteer for the Live Oak Park day... If anybody would like to help out please pm me or call me....

Remeber, Park Day is an all day event,(till 10pm) so if some of Y'all want to stop by after we'll be there for a while. You can call us first and see how it's going to see if it worth the trip. I know y'all will get done late in the afternoon.

Locked in the disc golf booth this morning. This should result in a great turn out of the public due to the high intrest of the game, looking for info @ city hall per Courtney. We already have some great ideas coming together, as darkness falls we will be highlighting night golf as well. If any of you get a chance, come by and give your 2 cents to the community. Here's our chance to really promote our game.

Que'pasa Chris, Yeah that was a weird call. Glad to hear your still active in the game. Now to all Americans, we are in need of used disc or minis for sales, give-a-ways and prizes. There has been 193 views on this post and only 10 replies. :confused: If we can get one used disc/mini from each club member that would be awesome. Remember this is to get new players in on the leauge, which in turn means bigger ace pots, party funds, etc...We are really gonna try to make this work in the most positve way possible. If donations are slim come 14 April, so be it, we'll still be there planting the seeds, what they produce will be up to all of us. Too bad we can't just roll up with the Thunder! :cool::D

I will be out for a bit that day, we have the millitary ball that night, but I think Michaela and I both are going to try to get out for awhile.

If possible we would really appreciate if we can get donated used/ new disc for park day . This is to promote to all the kids and for other people who are intrested in this awesome sport. That's fine Josh, we will be there all day... Park Day ends at 11:00 p.m. So anytime anybody can come out will be lots of help.... Thanks Josh! :cool:

For a family that sure likes to fight amongst each other, we really come thru for each other when it counts. THANK YOU to all of you for the donations and support of this event. 104 pieces of plastic, not counting all the mini's, stickers, banners, etc... Weather looks like it's gonna cooperate, looking forward to spreading the word. Booth should look pretty cool if all goes as planned. Be ready to support the new players, it's not always about the $$$, which I can see you know from all the generous donations. Keep it the fairway, the city is watching.

Just wen't out there! Jim Bob And Laura have a sweet set up and are getting more attention and hits than the sprint booth set up right next to them! :D

Great day out there, Big props to Pellman for helping me set-up!! Booth was awesome. Thanks to Stacey,Bird,RT,Josh, up daug, Pete, Carlos, Brian, Gaskell, and Painter for stopping in and making the chains ring in the wind. Gave/sold out all of the donation items, made $80 for club funds. I believe we had the most visited booth, besides the food and beer guys. The buzz is out, folks are excited to get into this game. LOLO's can expect at least 8 new women of the 14 that took flyers and want to learn. People were waiting in line to get there turn to see what everyone else was in line for, alot of people didn't know what the game was, and after a brief run down they left with disc's in hand. All's well, city is happy, we'll see what happens in May.
