Are there 2 RADL web sites now. They both seem to have the wrong info. It is March 31, Apr1 2007, correct?

Feb 26 2007, 02:23 PM
The http://www.raleighdiscgolf.com website has info related to disc golf events in and around Raleigh, NC. Including, but not limited to, RADL events. Plus we also have a messageboard here for content and discussion separate from the PDGA boards.

The http://www.radl.biz site has info related specifically to the Raleigh Area Disc League (RADL)

Some of these sites may share the same content, but hopefully it'll all be correct across both sites. Thanks for the heads up, I'll let Mike know and see if we can get the info fixed.

Last but certainly not least is http://www.ncdiscgolf.com which will be the website for the NC Points Series events. Please note: not all North Carolina PDGA events will be NC Points events. Please check the RADL or RDG websites as well as the PDGA schedule for *ALL* of the NC PDGA events.

Last year I was learning Buckhorn too and got abused the first time through. Second round better. I played there a couple months ago and it was a lot easier. What a great course. I was in Cali during the buckhorn feb event but I won't miss this.

Zebulon is a fun course too. I hope to play more in NC this year.

I'm just still steaming about the "spotter" on the last water hole who claimed that my anhyer that landed 3 feet out and then visibly hit the bank claimed that it never hit. turnovers skip, hyzers don't. Nobody would back me up, and I ended up taking a 7 on that stupid hole. 3 OBs. Would have been a drop in 3, maybe a 4.

The worst part was, he was just scamming for plastic, as nobody reported there being a spotter on the hole. Next time I am taking a provisional because that was crap.

which hole??

9-11 probably play 3 strokes harder for a lefty on average... especially if its windy

Registration has not even been posted for a week yet for this event. Paypal went live tuesday morning last week. The Flyer was also posted at this time.

Since that time I have worked on cleaning up stuff from Amxtown (going through 34 bins of discs) organizing all of my discs and RADL discs. I loaned 20+ bins of mine to RADL for the event. This means I had to take all of my discs out of the bins put them in boxes put the RADL payout into the bins. After the event the new RADL bins came in so I then had to get the RADL stock reduced down to fit in the 12 bins that RADL has and put my stuff back in bins. I also needed to update ncpoints, the radl website, and do my regular job where I have been at the office until at least 7 pm every night after getting in close to 8 each day.

Posting the pre-reg list with all 15ish people on it was not a top priority. If anybody would like to step up and help with the myriad of disc golf items that need to get done on a weekly basis so that I can post the pre-registration list for you feel free to send me a PM and who knows I might have something. The list will likely get posted tonight after I finally get home.

I understand people appreciate the things I do but it gets very annoying when we have multiple people posting about a pre-registration list when registration information has not even been posted for a week.

Craig is not the only one that isn't coming because the Crosstown is not a qualifier this year.

A note to all the ams out there.

Think back to the am crosstown. Myself, Kirk Yoo, Scott Anderson, Richard Paschal and Scott Faison (if he had not been sick) all volunteered our time to make your tournament better. Now that it is the pro weekend, return the favor and come out and spot or help with scorecards.

During the rounds pick a pro you'd like to see play (maybe Dave Feldberg or Avery Jenkins or Schwebby) and follow them around.

Come out either of both days and watch some great golf and return the favor that pros did for you!

Moist ToweleTTes after hole 9 would be great. A nice smoothie bar by the teepad of hole 3, also, a nice touch. Strawberry Protein Blast would make the wait on 3 bearable. :)

Captain
Mar 29 2007, 09:05 AM
Ant,

Since all divisions are playing the same layout all divisions have a chance to qualify for MSDGC. The 3 spots will be awarded to the top 3 scores (regardless of division) that are not otherwise qualified for the MSDGC.

Has anyone heard where Kenny,Barry,GG & McCray are playing this weekend. No sign of them in Texas either?!
I am predicting a return of Walt dominance @ The Crosstown.
ps Ben Willy is returning to NC but Greesboro this time. It is gonna be a pretty choice place to jump off in some new directions outside of all the Raleighwood tournys I always played in. But there is no place like home as I click my Solomans. 2 more weeks

I heard from one of the florida transplants who signed up for Tar Heel that McCray was thinking about coming to Crosstown, but had some family issues.
I am thinking about coming out to ZZebulon tomorrow and maybe help spot. What time is sunday players meeting/ start time?

well, John, she got her 2nd 1000 rated this month when she tied the womens record at Zebulon with a 51.

Avery Jenkins wins from the second card over Walt Haney (also from the second card) and Brad Hammock in a 3 way playoff.

Final scores with ratings can be found at:

In other cool news, Bert Williams aced his first hole of the tournament (hole 14 at buckhorn) and Gary Gregory aced his last hole of the tournament (hole 13 at Zebulon).

Gary's ace got him in last cash in masters!

Nice shooting everyone ELSE from Charlotte. I will never again return to Buckhorn. Ever. Done.

Thanks to Kirk for putting me up. Thanks to anyone who listened to me whine about water holes at Buckhorn.

Big congrats to Rob Kelly for shooting the hot round of the masters to move into a tie for 2nd with the Beav after starting the day in 9th.

Big congrats to Avery for a great come from behind win after the struggles of Buckhorn. Really nice shooting from everyone on the second card, 45, 45, 47, 47. That must have been a fun group to play with.

I have pollen in my brain, gall bladder, and lymph nodes.

my personal highlight of the weekend: I birdied hole 8 at Zebulon with a HeroDisc Superhero (http://www.herodiscusa.com/store/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=46). A beautiful drive down the gap and a 35 foot putt. This disc is awesome and a lot of fun to throw.

Tree sex = pollen, I have been trying to explain it to my students. I think they thought trees just rubbed their limbs together. Glad you guys had a great weekend to play!

Congrats to LL, Avery and Kristen. I really enjoyed my first time up there. The courses may be few, but they sure are good. Absolutley loved Buckhorn, but I'm right-handed. I really enjoyed watching Peck swallow the #90 tag. I can't understand why he doesn't like Buckhorn. ;)

Thanks to Kirk and Robert for all the worked y'all did. It went really smooth. I big thanks to Felix for swimming in that muck for discs.
