I know there are a bunch out there, but these are the basics ... I thought it would be fun to see what the ROC lovers THROW the most. I'm going to let you pick your top three ... because most Roc lovers carry at least a few plasics/molds. Other still refers to a ROC ... maybe one I forgot to list. ;)
Don't vote for your favorite WALL HANGER! Vote for the Rocs you have in your bag every day!

'05 SB for straight/hyzer
beat to hell 11X KC for turnovers/tunnel shots
beating up a regular DX rancho to replace the 11X if I lose it, right now it throws pretty much dead straight stable.
4X Champion Glow for Hyzer
11X for Long and Straight
Ching for Turns
Putt with all three in headwind

Jen, pretty much any white DX Roc with the color stamp is what people refer to as a flat-top Roc or a "Ching Roc" (when they first came out, Ching did the special stamping for Innova). It is DX plastic, but they are flatter (because of the stamping process) giving them greater resistance to turn, compared to a regular DX Roc. I have a color 2007 Ice Bowl Roc if you're interested in it. Any chance you'll be coming down to Tyler on Saturday?

Nothing holds the "turnover fade" like a well-seasoned DX Roc. And you can't season a DX Roc if you aren't throwing a newer DX Roc and beating it in. Therefore the DX Roc trifecta is the best bet:
New-to-newish DX Roc for overstable shorter drives. A new DX Roc is surprisingly overstable when thrown right.
Slightly beat DX Roc for straight short drives.
Seasoned to beat DX Roc for turnover short drives.
Add a new DX Roc and remove the beat DX Roc and shift them down the line as required. I've searched and searched and haven't found a suitable candy replacement for the seasoned turnover Roc.

Bottom stamped DX Rancho.
Beat to hell Rancho.
150 gram Ontario: use for downwind turnover shots, glides a long way.

My most thrown is the '05 special blend. I have had other Rocs come and go, but the SB has been consistent for many lines. It can be straight, hyzer or anny. I don't use it much for finesse shots, but for full power throws, it works great. For shorter throws, I'll use my first run QMS...it is as money as money gets.

Agreed. I use it a lot when I have some room and I would have to back off a bit if I wanted to throw a leopard or teebird. If I'm in the woods its the 11X always.

I concur!
I also threw in a vote for San Marino's and 11x's since those were the only other two types of Roc's that I've thrown.
But the standard DX Rancho is still my most thrown, and also the best. :D

I've probably thrown more DX Ranchos b/c that's been my bread and butter disc for years.
But the best disc I've ever had is definitely the SE Super Roc. I use it for hyzer shots b/c it's overstable for me. That baby still flies the same as when I first got it many years ago. It's lasted better and performed more consistently than any disc I've ever had.

The REAL ching rocs are flat top ranchos in a soft plastic that is super-money. At gottagogottathrow.com, the ones with the buddha stamp and skull stamp are in the soft plastic, it is the best plastic ever. It's like raw bread dough, its so good.

I"ve got a bottom stamped rancho that has been in the bag for 4 years...took three to beat-up, but worth every throw.
I have to say the SB claws are badarse and my flagstick is "almost there."

Most thrown? I guess the six currently in my bag: A white 177-gram 1993 Huntsville Worlds San Marino, understable; a white 2004 Iowa Super Roc; a yellow SE Super Roc (original); a flat top White 179-gram Ching Roc; a bubble gum pink 2006 baby Star Roc and an orange 176-gram 2005 CE Roc. There's a Roc for every shot. And Six more in reserve that go in and out of the rotation! rWc3523
