Where did you see it for sale? My bud's Z-buzzz SS was one of the many buzzz SS retools, and it flew like a seasoned D buzzz.

No its suppose to be a less stable version of buzzz in regular ESP plastic.

I always thought the Buzz was supposed to be straight to begin with. Its straight for me...So is the SS understable? Super straight from hyzer release instead of flat? I know that the Avenger SS is a different top and bottom than the regular Avenger, so I wonder if the Buzz SS is something totally different as well. If anything I think a more overstable Buzz would be desirable. The Wasp just does not fly or feel as smooth out of the hand imo.

The BUZZZ is straight to mildly overstable at the end of its flight brand new!!! The BUZZZ SS is a BUZZZ with a Super Straight wing.......hence the SS..........Its is the exact same mold as the BUZZZ but the wing is filled in so that it is straight and not concave............This makes the BUZZZ SS understable when brand new!!!
And the same thing goes for the Avenger SS.........The wing is just flattened out so it is not concave which also makes it less stable then its big brother the Avenger right out of the box!!!
To my knowledge the SS Avenger has the exact same top as the regular Avenger just a SS bottom.........If you throw Innova this is the same idea and technology as the Teebird and Teebird TL!!!
I thank Discraft for all their new advanced and products!!! I cant wait to get my hands on one of those new rain jackets!!!

Wouldn't this make it similar to the Breeze?

No, because the Breeze is a totally different mold. The Buzz SS is like a seasoned Buzz brand new. I think it will fly with a little more glide and will be a little less stable, but still retaining the same characteristics of the Buzz. It'll be nice for some any's in the woods.

so the SS is similar to how innova uses L to describe less stable discs?
: ) :
I thought the L stood for Leopard bottom. :D
I love the Buzzzz.... If it aint broke, dont fix it ...
BTW, IMO the buzz needs a little more stablility, that is why I go to my Wasp... But the FLX Buzz has that extra touch of stability I was looking for ....

I do not throw the Buzz or Wasp, but I have many friends who do. I do nto see any need to mess with that mold at all....
Maybe they are looking for a low speed Buzz for folks very low on power. Of course, then all you need is a Glide.

I think what they are going for is out of the box stability...........if you lose your beat up BUZZZ what do you do??? You need to beat up another one.......With the SS that isnt the case........You just grab and SS and there is your hyzer flip and anhyzer buzzz right off the shelf!!!
If you really want to get into it The Pred all the way threw the Avenger SS are the same mold with just a straighter wing on them to make them less stable!!!

I didnt think it was possible to have a straighter disc. Oh well, if you want something that's not as overstable as the Wasp, or understable as the Buzzz/SS then purchase a Storm. I'm sure most of you still have your's from when you joined. I love the disc, but I choose to throw the Goblin cuz of its deep dish rim which fits better in my fingers.

The Buzz SS is probably for more shots in the 200-300' range where the regular Buzz won't quite hold a gentle anny or flip from hyzer. I get it. Are they ESP or Z or both?

I've been throwing the buzz ss for a little while. It's a nice disc, it is a little less stable than an esp buzz. more stable than the glide, and faster. slower than the storm, and different because of the deeper rim. The ss does seem to come out of my hand a little earlier I think because of the strait wing. but once you get used to that its flight path is nice, gentle turnovers with power. you can throw hard without it flipping hard. But seems to hold an anhyzer line with some more finesse also.
The Memorial has an exclusive on them, there will be plenty of them here for sale. You might get some one who is coming to pick one up for you, or you might be able to get them at sog.com email sue, or Dan.
Hope this helped

I just received a Buzzz ESP in my players pack last weekend in Victoria. Since it was stamped with the Event logo and dates, I wasn't going to put it in my bag, but after throwing it out of curiosity 5 or 6 times in my warmup for the tourney, I decided that it just flew tooooo well to leave out.
I was very impressed with the plastic's grippyness and it still flew very predictable....I'm curious to find out how it fly's down the road after it gets beat up a little.

Sounds like a Comet...
There is quite a speed difference between the two I imagine. That makes a big difference in the "feel" of the disc's flight.

The Buzzz GT's turn over a little easier as well. I used one for quite a while, and it fits great in your hand.

Yes, the buzzz ss, the comet, and the glide seem to fill similar roles. The difference would likely be in the grip. I don't like the feel of comets, and the glide can carry too long. I welcome something that could replace a beat to crap D wasp in my bag that's in a softer plastic. I love the flight of a beat D wasp, but would like something with a different feel. My flippy role in my bag right now is filled with: soft magnet, beat D wasp, glide, beat esp surge, by order of range.

Are these legal for PDGA tournaments? I got a Z one and I love it. DISCRAFT: Do something with this mold! It is better than the breeze/glide/meteor!!!! If not in the plans, then liscense it to DGA!!! This mold would be very popular with all kinds of players from rec to pro.
