Just got off of the phone with the city. They have a company that is deciding what events are going to go in what location of the park and the developement is still a few months out. They said there will definately be a course going in and would love any input we were willing to give them. Watch for announcements on upcoming parks board meetings and attend.

I would like to volunteer to assist the club in assisting with this course development project. Let me know anyway I can be of assistance. Can you give a contact number so people can contact and thank them for the opportunity to have a course in the ground in Kennedale?

How's the DG course in Grand Prarrie going?

Well............. With the new baby closing on a house and them planting a ton of tree's in the fairway of 2 holes we have come to a stand still. I asked clay and Jason if the ADGA would be interested in helping since I don't have the time to tackle this project alone. Sad that it was approved and everything it kind of fell through the cracks as life took over. Anyone wanting to take the rains I would be very glad to help in anyway I can do so!

I don't remember a conversation about G.P., but then I barely remember what I had for dinner last night. I wish I could help with that course but with all the things going on with the ADGA and my house and possible layoff from the job, there's just no time. :(

I was not trying to put any pressure on anyone to help just if someone has the time I have a foot in the door to getting a park in the ground. I just don't have the time to take all the responsibility of this project. I started with a partner and after he also had some personal issue's arise we where unable to move forward.

What's the deal ?

I did not get an e-mail addie from him. Like I said, I'm not sure they know what they are getting into. When I explained my involement with ADGA and the courses at Cedar Hill all I got in response was they had a company that was working out what activity was getting what part of the park and to attend the city meetings if I was interested.

He was said to watch for meetings on Sanora???? Park but I have been unable to find that park listed anywhere. I'm going to try and make it to the next city meeting and grab some attention. Of course it doesn't hurt that I work for one of their largest tax paying businesses so I'll make sure to bring that to their attenion.

Funny you should mention it :D:DI just talked to the parks manager on Wednesday he said the have a contractor working on the hole project. The park is south off business 287 on hope road once you cross the railroad tracks. The guy I talked to is Mark White 817-478-5418. Everyone should call him and thank them for putting in a park he was going to give me the number to the guy who is the contractor but I did not have a pen. I think he said it would be a year before they broke ground on the entire project. He did say if I called him back in a 3 or so months he would probably have a layout. Let me know if you get the number to the contractor.

Last time I called they seemed like they where about a year out(its been about three months ago) they said they where putting in 9 holes and the designer was the same person putting the rest of the park (non disc golfer) I offered help they said they had it covered I also stressed the safety issue and they said this person has experience...... We will see :D

reminds me of Coppell when it was re-designed for the aquatic center, now four holes play in conjunction with a walking trail and average 125 feet, another four holes play right beside a pond with a no-swimming sign posted, it hardly gets any play now because of the awesome design of a non-golfing city employee that wouldn't take free help when it was offered
boy, I can't wait till this course opens too
