If your are a NASCAR fan you know whats happening down here in Daytona. Crazy, with all the races and special events leading up to the Daytona 500.

Carl Edwards ( driver of the #99 Office Depot Ford) showed up at Tuscawilla Park yesterday. Us locals got to meet him and play a couple holes with him before his Qualifying Run.

He's been disc golfing since he was in high school and has this funky tomohawk he throws. Great guy. Awesome to see Disc Golf spreading to another sport. Especially one as huge as NASCAR!

We wanted him to do one of his signature backflips off #18 basket.
No luck with that one though.

Cool stuff! There is a course slated to go in (http://www.co.cabarrus.nc.us/Parks/projectupdates.html) soon in the town where his residence is listed (Kannapolis, NC) in North Cabarrus Park.

We need to see if he is interested in being a sponsor of some sort: The Carl Edwards Office Depot 99 Roush Racing Disc Golf Course! :D

WHAT THEY TEACH IN NASCAR SCHOOL:

Go straight, take a left, take a left, go straight....
Go straight, take a left, take a left, go straight....

This is taken from a song by Steve Goodie called The Nascar Song - a story about higher education...

Here's the link if you want to listen and LYAO!

Can you imagine getting more NASCAR drivers interested in disc golf? Perhaps they could develop courses near all of the race tracks. Most of the drivers have very strong arms so think about the distance they could get. Maybe we could get some of the mega-millions from their sponsors to put on events near tracks!

That course in Daytona is pretty cool, you could walk to the course from the race track no problem.

since he's from columbia, mo, i'd say that his funky tomahawk is a result of playing at albert oakland front...

**** circus golf course! tomahawk on every hole!

I don't think Disc Golf and Nascar should ever be put in the same sentence....its embarrassing as a disc golfer
