Can anybody identify the brand & style shoe that Avery Jenkins is wearing on the cover and on the back ad of the most recent Disc Golf World?
I've been looking for a sharp looking pair of mid-hi disc golf shoes. Bites just aren't for me, until they come up with a little nicer style (esp. with some color).
I like the look of the shoes Avery is wearing in those pics. Anybody know?

salomons. I just orders this one
pair (http://www.zappos.com/n/p/p/7223225/c/41402.html)
When I get more cash, I am gonna order this
pair (http://www.altrec.com/shop/detail/20600/?sch=clk)
They are both gortex. A little pricy, but worth every penny. So I hear. Of course barry is sponsered by salomon, but is avery also?

I have a pair of the ones Avery was wearing at the USDGC. They are the Salomon Super X Low XCR Day Hiking Shoe. Last year's model. They are super goretex and super sweet. The lacing system is the best ever. Well worth the $54.96 I paid for them! Shipped!!!!
Oh yeah, I found a sweet deal.

I LOVE the nike Air Teocalli XCR. Waterproof & so comfy it feels like wearing slippers. Warm in winter & breathable cool in summer. Lucky I bought 3 pair 2 years ago (I'm still on the first playing 2-3 times/week), because they seem to be discontinued now.

I've become somewhat addicted to checking SAC daily, but it's tough to make any purchase when you're a Big&Tall kinda guy... They never offer much in the way of fat guy goods...

Good disc golf buys on Steep and Cheap:
Salomon Shoes
Zoic jerseys (good base layer)
Salomon shorts (think they are called trunks)
OR Session t-shirts (6% wool, 94% nylon)
Smartwool shirts
just about any of their sunglasses (styles vary widely)

Backcountry.com's outlet store has great deals too. Same company as Steepandcheep. Just bought the last pair of Salomon Extend mids (non-xcr) in my size for $63 shipped. That's $30 less than the exact shoes at Zappos. Can't always find your size in the model you want though
This will be my second pair of these shoes BTW. If you have dodgy ankles, you can't go wrong with these. Gore-tex ones are available for about $120 at various online stores. The non-Goretex version is supposed to be waterproof, but I wouldn't try standing in a puddle for too long with them.

I guess when people make posts wondering what shoes you specifically are wearing to play in, you've officialy "made it" in disc golf.
