I'm curious about this tournament and whether or not it's happening. There's no mention of it on the PDGA or LSDGA schedules. The "FlyNHigh" LSS series schedule on the HFDS discussion board shows "Pecan Park - 4/17".

Rick, are you doing this as a one day tournament? I think a lot of people will be disappointed about the 9th annual being reduced to, basically, a mini. I hope that just saying 4/17 was just for a quick reference to what weekend it's gonna be. It's a fun tournament. I would protest it if it was a one day and not play, but I do love East Texas in the spring and these are fun courses. :) Still would be disappointed, though. :(

That's great to hear, Vinnie, thanks. I can do my happy dance now. :) This is one tournament I would hate to see go by the wayside, even as little as I play anymore. It's right up there with Vic.

Good question. What CAN we do?

Yep, that fun little game actually became hard work, didn't it, ol' man. ;)

Rick, last year I (and several others) ate at this little BBQ joint on the main drag, either just before or just after Brookshire Brothers (on the left if you're headed north into town). He had quite a few golfers in there on Sunday, so I asked him about sponsoring and he said he'd love to. I can't remember the name of the place, but I'll do some research and let you know. A lot of good it did to give Gimp his business card. haha

I lived in Nacogdoches about 14 years ago. There used to be this little shop across from SFA campus called Vagabond Imports, I bet those guys would throw down on a sponsorship.

How about a date for the event .....
I am assuming that Rick is the TD .
Is everything scheduled with Gary Duke ??
Kind of hard to make the sale , when you have nothing etched in stone .........

@ least, pencil in the Funkytown Flyers Club as a t-shirt sponsor..

That Chili's in town would probably be on board for sponsorship, or at least help out with a player's dinner/party. The Rancho Grande place used to do that, didn't they? I have only played in the last couple of events, and I never saw many players at the party when I ate there. That place is awesome...where else can you get a meal with 3 enchiladas and a taco, with 2 free margaritas, for like $6.95?!?

Hey Russ! How's it goin', brother? Long time. Come out this year. What was my blonde caddy's name back around '00 or '01 who was a good friend of yours and lived in Dallas. Seems like it was something like Sabrina. If you talk to her, tell her I said hello and I could use a caddy this year. I'm buying the beer. :)
