I know that it is really early for this thread. But I am currently trying to plan out my schedule for the year and was wondering if this years Mid-nationals will be in the same format as last years with the color groupings like last year. I am probably going no matter what but am just curious. I am glad it is in St. Louis this year that way I can at least seriously consider going.

Hi Chuck,
Ray Vuichard here. We met when you came to St. Louis to check out the courses with Dave McCormack, Mike Fritz and myself. Thanks for responding to Robert's question above.
We have the basisc on our site www.stldiscgolf.com (http://www.stldiscgolf.com) We should have all the info to the PDGA soon. I'll need to check with Mike.

Why were there only 42 players at a PDGA MAJOR last year?
Why was there an attendance problem? 115 players the in 2005. I am planning on attending this year and came across the previous event results and found them interesting.

15 hour drive to the North end of the Midwest from STL is a major reason I have not even considered it till this year. The great town of St. Louis is a perfect center of the United States to have Mid Nationals. We expect many more players this year because of the many highways in and out of STL and there are a lot more region players w/in 5-6 hours. It makes total sense to hold Mid Nats in the midwest. Come on to St. Louis for the A tier 5/19-20 and you can see for yourself, the courses are excellent. :D

I don't know if the drive, or the fact that it followed the 4th of July holiday weekend, and really prevented time off accordingly. St. Louis is closer for me, and I will be there Marshalling, but man HighBridge is the BOMB!! No disrespect to St. Louis, and Ronnie you know I love ya, but man those courses and environment in WI are irreplaceable. There should be plenty of competition at the event in St. Louis, easy to drive, easy to fly into, should top 150 is my guess, last year was a bad week timing wise, though this year the event is scheduled against opening weekend of NFL......already have my room booked though, and will set the Tivo boxes accordingly, it will be a great event in St. Lou for sure.
