Hello all. I'm most likely making it down to play in this tournament considering I've got to be in montgomery on the 29th of May. Is there anyone who would have some floor space who would be kind enough to let me crash there?

I am sure someone will offer. You can post your request on our club website www.hsvdiscgolf.com (http://www.hsvdiscgolf.com) and probably get a bite there.
Hope you can make it!

Hope too see a great crowd here in Huntsville for the big one.

For those of you who haven't played UAH since the course moved it's a real challenge. Risk, reward decisions on many holes, accuracy and length rewarded in equal measure. A disc eating lake and stream come into play as well. Bring your game, know your game.

Things are shaping up nicely for the event! AMs please remember that there is a MAY 19th registration cut off because we have to get your name added to the Redstone access list in order to play. Pro's we can still sign up on friday but please help us prepare the best event possible for you and register as early as possible. Thanks!

Dave, do we have to sign up and pay online to get on the redstone list or just state our general intentions to play? I expect to come and I hope I can get mine in before the 19th, but there are unforeseen circumstances that come into play. rWc3523

Russ send Chris an email and let him know. If we get your name on the list you can pay friday night. However havin gyour name on the list will not garantee a players pack or a spot. Those are reserved for the first 100 paid am entry fees.

May 20 2007, 11:00 PM
It's not too late to sign up! We are still taking registrations! The online registry will close soon, but we will accept entries on friday with the advertised added late fee.
We will accept all divisions on friday however it will not be the responsibility of the TD to get you on the base if you are an Am playing Redstone. That list must be turned in well in advance of tournament. We will do what we can but we can not make any promises. The Pro and advanced division will not have any issues since they are only playing Athens and UAH.
Drive safe all and we'll see you at the tournament!

I thought Pro's will play UAH and Athens and Am's will play
Brahan Springs,Redstone and Mastin Lake.

Advanced Ams are playing the same courses as the Pro's, so UAH and Athens.
Int. and the rest are playing redstone, brahan springs, and mastin lake.

Since I pre-registered for the tourney a few weeks ago does that mean I am already on this list to go to Redstone Arsenal because when I was looking at the website I thought pre-registration meant access to the place.
25322
May 23 2007, 12:37 AM
All the nonPro and nonAdv pre-registrations are on the redstone list for the day the round is being played. With the heightened security for the holiday weekend they will not allow practice rounds by people granted access through the tournament list so you either must be escorted or have your own military access.
Levi you might try posting on our local boards www.hsvdiscgolf.com (http://www.hsvdiscgolf.com) as most of our locals do not frequent the pdga boards.

May 24 2007, 01:11 AM
Take University Dirve west to athens, two options once there.
Option 1: take highway 31 north a couple miles and the athens sportsplex is on the right and the course is on the far side of the plex.
Option 2: Take 65 North and exit on to highway 31 south go about a quarter of a mile and take a left into the athens sportsplex. I am unsure which exit it is though. it may actually be the first exit.

The host hotel info is wrong fro those making reservations. If you click on the host hotel info link, it takes you to Ramada corporate. If you dial the 800 number they will tell you there is no Ramada in Madison, only one in Decatur. The host hotel is going through a buyout now and is officially not a Ramada.
Also, the phone number under host hotel info on the Huntsville home page is wrong. It is listed as 256-722-0701. The correct number is 256-772-0701. If you call the number listed, you will get a very irate lady.

Quick reminder on the doubles. $10 per team. Show up and play when you want between 3 and 6:30 as long as you can find another group or approved 3rd party to play with your twosome. We will have Pro, ADV, Am, and women's divisions available.
There will also be a mini putting contest for anyone playing in the Supertournament and free cookies while they last! Keep in mind that the mini contest pays out "mini" prizes.
We will hand out the prizes either when the last group finishes or preferably at the players meeting Saturday morning.

Events done, scoring update will be posted later tonight when Chris gets back from dinner. Thanks to everyone that made this a huge success, 147 players $3400 added cash for the pros, 200+% payout to all divisions!
We learned a few things, got to see some great golf and had alot of fun. Thanks to all of our sponsors and thanks to everyone that worked hard to make this event happen and most of all thanks to the players that came and played the event for without them we'd just have alot of extra cash on hand...wait maybe that woudlnt be a bad thing *wink*
I hope everyone made it home safely and we'll see you next time. Women don't forget the 2008 womens disc golf championships in huntsville next year!
