What is the best brand of pencil for disc golf?
I like the old yellow Ticonderoga pencils. It is good for marking any score, from double bogey to ace.
Any other preferences?

Why am I not surprised you've "lead" us down this path? I believe I've marked more aces with a pencil from the standard box you can get at OfficeMax.

For day to day penciling, I also prefer the classic Dixon Ticonderoga #2. Good lead (I know it's graphite) and a no-smear eraser.
For disc golf, nothing beats my trusty Nebdisc pencil. ;)

I just went to the supply closet at school and it is filled with DT#2s. Hands down the best pencil.

Every time I pass Ticonderoga, (the locals call it "Ti") I remember the days in the dead of winter, temperature -25, and see the huge tower of steam billowing from the factory going 1/2 mile into the frozen sky, big ice clouds...and think of those pencils, best used for disc golf

Any standard carpenters pencil - durable, mark dependably and they're easy to spot when they wind up in someone elses bag. :D

I think we should go to DT #1's to make reading the cards easier.

I just looked it up, they never made pencils in Ti. It's always been a paper mill

For "pencil fighting", there was a Raven pencil that was unbeatable if you knew how to flex on the hold. I remember those Ravens were a three-part construction instead of the standard two-piece design, and it made all the difference in the world. I had one that managed 23 wins before the middle was whittled away by the "chop style" players who basically dragged the metal eraser cap instead of going for wood-cracking impact.
That baby defeated two of the giant-diameter green 2nd-grader pencils during that streak, too.
I'm pretty sure it was called a "Raven".

the NFL pencils were where it was at. Those suckers held strong but when they did finally give out they went out with a bang.
The NFL pencils were top's .
BTW- I always hated those chop style pencil fighters, I made sure to pop a thumbnail or two when those guys came around!

Innova tout's the slogan " lowering scores since 1983 "
