Here's a brief snippet of what competitors can expect at the beautiful and challenging Moraine State Park course.

Below is Hole #2 at Moraine State Park outside of Pittsburgh, PA (courtesy of Jerry Gotcher)

Below is a reverse view of this wonderful par four hole. The tee is located behind the second (farther tree) in the middle of the fairway. While the base of the hill can be reached, accuracy is more important than length. A long drive that misses the fairway will not give you an opportunity to make the approach for the birdie three, while a shorter drive in the middle does allow you that opportunity. An added challenge is that the narrow drainage ditch just before the polehole is OB!

Below is the signature hole#15. After emerging from the woods, an awesome expanse opens up in front of you of Lake Arthur and the Rt. 422 bridge crossing.

From the blue tee, the hole is a pro par four, listed at 852 feet, with significant elevation drop the whole way. A long but safe 425' drive is needed to reach the landing zone, which is bordered by an OB road on the left and small trees on the right. A headwind often makes disc selection critical.

http://www.centxdglove.com/gallery/albums/uploads/MoraineHole15smaller.jpg

From the landing area, you throw another crush of equal length down to the polehole situated just in front of the lake. You can fire over the small trees on the right, or take the direct route right at the polehole, which can be spotted in the small dirt circle below.

Here's another image of Lakeview's hole 15. Photo was taken approximately 400' from the A-pin (which is barely visible in the distance).

B and C pins still need a lot of clearing, but we should have those greens cleaned up in time for the PFDO in June. Ideally, we would like to use C-pin for the PFDO... [/quote

A reverse view of Lakeview's hole 13 (a-pin). Note the white tee sign in the background. Gold tee to green center is 300'. Arguably one of the more difficult par 3's on the course.

Lakeview's hole 4 from behind the Gold tee (formerly blue tee). An o.b. creek runs along the crest of the hill top, just inside the tree line. The c-pin is a dogleg right once inside the "keyhole":

Great tourney last year. That is a bad #$*&$! logo reminds me of how rounds can go out at Moraine if your not quite on your game. Anyways I only wish the ams were playing more at Moraine. Knob hills fun and all but Moraine is where its at. Even one round at Knob, and one at Deer Lakes on Saturday would be sweet instead of two at Knob. Just a thought. Deer Creek, Knob, and Moraine in one Tourney would rival any trio of courses in the U.S. in my opinion (not that I've played them all).

Very true. I had a feeling someone might through the "play open" option at me. Let me think about it for a minute............................hmmmm,.......... ........well..............hmmmmmm...........I don't think so, but at least I have options. Who knows maybe my game will progress dramatically in the next couple of weeks and I can move up. That is my goal after all.
