Looking forward to this event...can't wait to come back to Moraine and battle that baby! I like the split fields by the way...it will make play go much faster which I think most will agree is very nice. Fivesomes are rough and turning players away is just about as bad. Who could complain about anything getting to play those two courses.

Schick,

If you like Moraine, just wait until you see the new course at Deer Lakes Park! Oodles of pro par fours and pro par fives, oh my!

We are now accepting Pre-registration for the Ironwood Open. Flyer will be posted soon, but you can e-mail me in the mean time if you want to register. [email protected]

Pre-registration form will be finalized shortly. We are just trying to finalize the event sponsors. Currently we have a sponsor from Comfort Inn in Cranberry for the Ironwood Open and the PFDO. We are currently trying to get Quaker Steak & Lube to sponsor both events as well. Estimated added sponsorship for the event is $1,000.

Wow,

Thanks to the help of Jerry Gotcher and other supporters like Custom Ink, The Comfort Inn, The Sunday Devotional, Elite Finishes, and the members of the Pittsburgh Flying Disc Society, we have raised $1,400 for the Ironwood Open. This means that all Pro Players Packs are fully paid for, the Pavillion is Fully Paid for, and all other expenses are fully paid for, leaving a Total of $780 added to the Payout.

The vast Majority will go to the AM filed unless the Pro Players sign-up. LOL.

Thanks

Nice work Jerry, Jeremiah, and staff. Don't be silly Jeremiah, you know Open players will wait until the last minute to register since there is no chance of filling up the Open side (although it would be great). There should be a group from C-bus coming over and I tried to talk the Canadians back out. There will be a nice field of 20+ in the Open is my guess, don't get crazy with that added cash quite yet! :D;)

Brad,

Great to Hear. I new you were coming all along. Just wanted to get the word out on the amount we have added and get some new and fresh faces to the Pro field this year (as well as get the signed up early). But the Cash will be distributed out the same as last year. I will take the number of players in each division as a percent of the total and multiply that into the added cash to get the payout. However this year I am going to double the Pro % because we have donated items from INNOVA (including a basket as 1st place Advanced Prize). But enough with the math, this years event will be great and the Shirts that were ordered from Costum Ink are Awesome. :D

There was a question about the added cash for each division, The added cash will be based on the following calculation (( number of players in each division/ number of total players) * the added cash value). The exception is this. Since the Am field has added non-cash prizes, the Am field added cash per division will by divided in half. The other half of the Am added cash value will be distributed out to the Pro fields based on the following calculation ((Number of Players in each pro division / total number of Pro players) * Half of the AM added cash). Hope this explains the method behind the madness. :D

For all those wanting to Register for the Ironwood Open on Friday April 20, 2007. I will be at Knob Hill Park from 3:30 until 7:45pm. This is a required pre-registration event, however since there are some procrastinators, we have decided that we will allow for late registrations on Saturday morning for a fee of $20 (added to added cash payout). So if you don't want to pay the fee then sign up via Paypal, Mail, or find me at Knob Hill on Friday. I am the goofy looking guy with a gynormous nose.

Yes, Bear Run Campground is currently open for business. You can find information on their web site here. (http://www.bearruncampground.com/)

Anyone wishing to camp for the Ironwood Open should consider staying at Bear Run. Not only do they have a nice 60-acre facility, Bear Run is one of our tee sign sponsors at Moraine State Park.

Could you be more specific for your question? The tournament headquarters is in Cranberry (Knob Hill) but we will be playing at Moraine State Park Lakeview Beach Disc Golf Course in Portersville PA. If you go to the PFDS website it will tell you directions to our course and local sponsors such as the Bear Run Campground. Let me know if you need further information.

Thanks

Also, I hope I didn't confuse you by saying that we will be playing at Moraine and not mentioning that the tournament will also be played at Knob Hill as well. Ams play Knob Hill on Saturday and Moraine on Sunday followed by a final 9 at Knob Hill. Pro's will play Moraine on Saturday and Knob Hill on Sunday. Let me know if you need more details.

Jerry,

Sorry for the Delay, I had to wake up at 5:45 this morning to catch my flight to Providence and then take the train to West Haven. I posted the scores but I need to finalize everything and then post the cash and payouts field. But first I need your opinion. I was going to say that the final safari 9 should have a par of 30 what do you think? The 3 safari holes would be a par 4 each?

Let me know and Thanks for all your help.
