I wouldn't be surprised if Keldog had a dozen 2001 CE Rocs chillin in his closet. Keldog is the guy who bought the famous "rare" CE roc for over $1000.

Coda Hatfield was throwing an 01 ce roc ( usdgc stamp)
last weekend @ PIO.

What will a unthrown 1st run Buzz fetch on ebay in 5 years?
Or will that be impossible because everyone loves throwing the Fuzz, er Buzz.

I use one(01 Roc) every time I golf :D!Seen Coda hit a 150 ft. jump putt with one!$$$ :cool:I know of two other people that use them in HOGland too!and I've retired the one that's won me over $1500.00 in cash and prizes ;)Buzz is a good disc,BUT how many people can throw it over 400 ft.?

Buy 1st run CE stuff for resale, buy 1st run Buzz to throw. Besides, they are completely different when it comes to flight characteristics.

Who can throw a CE Roc over 400 ft? I can throw my Buzz's just over a soccerfield, about 330'. My Midnight Buzz'z go the furthest, then 1st run and 2nd 1st run.

the 01 Rocs continue to climb in value, but the 1st run buzzz has not risen in price in ebay auctions over the past year at least. The Z Buzzz flies well for a couple months but once that disc gets beat up it has a tendency to flip quickly and never EVER come back out. Stable rocs never do that

I have never thrown a '01 CE roc, but I would definately pick a 1st run buzzz. I still throw mine and the midnight buzzzen are gonna be a great replacement when i finally ace with my 1st run and retire it.

I have to disagree with you here. I'm still throwing the first, first-run Buzzz I ever purchased (right after they came out). It still comes back at the end of it's flight in a very reliable manner. In fact, it still fades more reliably at the end of it's flight now than the subsequent Z-Buzzes will when brand new. That includes midnights, but not 2nd first-runs, since I haven't thrown one of those yet.

I can throw a z buzzz 380. definitely not in a headwind tho.
the totally clear "trophy disc" Z buzzzs that you can get with the D-dollars are the best for stable to overstable mids. but I have not found a better turnover mid than my old beat to crap 9x.

Yeah, that would definitely make the 1st runs more a more solid disc... I haven't thrown an actual 1st run buzzz but my z buzz's have been disappointing for me. That's why i didn't say 1st runs flip and don't come back but I shouldn't assume that the 1st runs fly the same way as the other max weight z buzzz's i've thrown.
The 2nd 1st run buzzz that I throw has been stable so far but I'm afraid of beating it up so I usually throw it when I don't think i'll hit anything hard, lol. for now though the 2nd1st run is nice and stable, and yes it fades at the end of its flight
edit: That's why WASPS (and rocs) are better discs imo

The more worked in a 1st run Buzz gets the sweeter it flies. I've seen a lot here in MN, so beat that you can hardly read the stamp anymore and the golfer still uses it as the bread and butter disc.
Also, with the re-release of the 1st Run Buzz(2nd 1st run), I have found that my blue is more stable then green. But, then again thats only 2 that I've thrown from my stash of them.

two things tragic:
1. "2nd 1st Run" -- oxymoron if i ever heard one.
2. what people spend on CE Rocs.
...got nothing against the discs themselves though, not that either have ever been in my bag (1st run or otherwise).

disagree. THere are alot of variations of Buzzzs. Some of them suck. Some of them are excalibur-ish.

That's because those 15 1st run Buzz's would barely be a down payment on a clear 01.
Still throw my 01 and have an 02 in the bag also.
Good friend still has his red 01 in his bag even after he lost another red 01 late last year.
Paul Piper was throwing his clear 01 for years. Was his go to disc.
Kevin Gleason threw his clear 01 from day one up until someone stole it out of his bag last year.
I have thrown both discs. Got an ace with an 01 ce roc but LOVE AND THROW my 3 Z BUZZZES IN MY BAG. ALL are 1st runs
1. baby blue flat top 178G way stable
2. royal blue more domey 178G straight flyer
3. orange 172G straight/flippy
I only throw discraft midranges all drivers and putters are innova.
Also I have a super RARE PINK 1ST RUN Z BUZZZ , that I am saving for my 3 year old daughter (pdga #24309)
AND ABOUT 10 OTHER 1 ST RUN Z BUZZZ
