In Ben's defence, he is real busy. However code is being written that will inable a TD to set up the web site yourself. (Ben has contracted it to be done)
So look for some changes soon (hopefully) with Titledisc.
So do people camp out there or what?

Most people do. some of the weaker hearts get rooms in Brenham :D
That nights at the Snow Farm can be long and loud and the morning after filled with moans  :D

Feb 01 2007, 10:31 AM
Yeah Nix. Most people camp right there. If you haven't been there before, Randon has a large area for camping that sits up on the hill and overlooks the pond. He doesn't allow campfires on the ground, but there are a couple of "community" fire-pits around for cooking and there is usually a big bonfire on Saturday night.
Thanks guys....Sounds like a good time to me. I should know today or tomorrow if I get to play. Man, I have not played a tourney in a REALLLY LONG TIME!!!

Were just about one month away from this excellent tournament out at the Snow Farm in Round Top / Winedale, TX.
Sorry it has taken so long, but the on-line registration is now available, although it is through Disc Nation (not titledisc as originally planned).
Here is the direct link to the registration page: http://www.discnation.com/product.php?productid=10103&cat=291&page=1
The full flyer is the very first post on the thread. This is a perfect warm-up for Am World Doubles (and is a really great tournament even if you arent playing World Doubles). We are full, or close to it, most every year, so there is a lot of good competition plus lots of fun partying.
Just let Randon or me know if you have any questions,

ching_lizard
Feb 26 2007, 01:03 PM
I'm sure there will be openings...we run the event in two flights so we'd have to get at least 36 teams between advanced and advanced masters to fill the A-flight. I've heard that response is pretty good so it might be filling up, but I doubt it.
With the pricing match up between World Doubles and Texas State doubles, I'd be surprised if it doesn't come close to filling though...
Always a good event on a great course...one I always like having a partner around to help keep me propped up! :D
gordonmk
Feb 26 2007, 01:19 PM
No sign up list yet, but I'll try to get one out late this week or early next week.
There are still spots in both flights, but interest/queries/entries have been picking up quite a bit lately, so sign up on line at www.discnation.com (http://www.discnation.com) or www.titledisc.com (http://www.titledisc.com) or mail in your entry to me really soon.
Even with World Doubles just two weeks after State Doubles, we expect both flights to be full or at least very close to it.
We'll try for a little more spacing on next year's schedule.
gordonmk
Feb 26 2007, 01:21 PM
Also, I just got this email from Randon...
Guys & Gals,
I was made aware that some people think that The Snow Farm will not be open for practice for the TSAD on the weekend of March 3-4. This is incorrect. I am not playing The Moffitt Show this year. I have been a sponsor and player, for the way cool & fun tournament, for every year.
I have sent $200 worth of cash and merchandise to Larry Kruse of HSDS, for this fun and exciting tournament. So, come on out and practice for TSAD at the Snow Farm and sponsor and play the The Mofitt Show.
The Land Baron
PS
I can throw all five shots represented on the 'WHO'S YOUR BUDDY" cards so you Moffitt Rats, eat your heart out. :D
Do you think ridicule will have any affect? (This IS the same guy that came up with the pink "Ant-shirts", right? :D
You know, those pink (and green) ant shirts were cool. My wife just HAD to have one of the green ones when we were at PYMWYMI. One of the many drunks there started calling it the Pink Panther shirt - the name just stuck so now my wife's favorite shirt is her green Pink Panther shirt.... /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I sure hope some surprise MM1 teams get signed up soon and take that bagger MK (Mary Kay) team on.
Sure sorry Pro's with low rating can't play with the Am's, cause I think Mulendorf team could take that bunch of baggers (again)... :D:p
ching_lizard
Mar 02 2007, 06:51 PM
I thought you could Jake...can't you?
Isn't that where that Mary Kay team came from? I remember caddying for a guy in MPO at COTO one year, and "Mary" was playing MPO on our card.
What about the Colonel??? I know he moved up to Pro ranks for a while and he's back down slummin' with us Ams again! :D
jakewalsdorf
Mar 02 2007, 07:23 PM
Yeah - and that's not all either... Some in the Adv. ranks are slumming as well.
No more Am events for me... But, I sure miss my Am brothers and sisters. Most of all miss playing Round Top and Wimberley.
Good luck my brothers...

Sorry to have been absent and hard to reach, I've come down with a major cold and have spent the last two days at home. Might not be much drinking for me this weekend  That'll be a first for me at the Snow Farm.
Preregistration closed Wednesday evening. Flight B is full, and Flight A (advanced & adv. master) has just 3 spots.
We are at that point where those 3 remaining spots are up for grabs by showing up at the ranch, first come first served, starting Friday afternoon at 1 pm.
You can have someone show up and pay for you to grab a spot (must pay for both players), but at least one member of the team must be there to check-in before 11 pm.

I understand there was some chaos created Sunday morning by teams not showing up. Let me clear up The Meekest Colonel's part of it anyway. I left Saturday around 5:30 and was gonna come back the next day after a good night's sleep in my own bed. Carl called later and left a message saying he went home and to call him before I headed back. I did and he didn't want to play anymore. His wife's dad had open heart surgery recently and he's not doing too well, so she's strugging with it. I called Randon at 8:30 and he said he'd let you guys know we were dnf'ing. I figured he might be playing by then, but it was the only way I had of getting the message to you guys. Apparently, it slipped his mind. Sorry for the trouble.

In the payout bag of goodies, there was a very wide diameter driver with no marks on it save a "Made In Canada" on the bottom. On top is last year's torn tickets hotstamp...anyone know what disc this is?

Big shout out of thanks goes to Mr. Bruce Hernandez who outbid me by $1 on the bottom-stamped ROC and then allowed me to buy it from him under intense pressure! :D
Thanks Bruce! It's another unusual ROC for my wall collection! (But I'd sure love to fly it a couple of times!)
