My 10x kc avair is getting too many gouges and I dont wanna use sandpaper, because i did it on another and i dont like the feel. It does have some nasty ones on it.
I used a liter and melted it back, but still needs to be fixed.
I have a lot more 10x's, but this is the one and needs to be fixed bad. :(

I usually take a pair of nail clippers or other fine cutting instrument and cut off as much of the hangnail as possible. I rarely have to do much else after this step. I suppose heating the area with a lighter and then trying to round out the gouge would work to some extent.

I would suggest trying to find a putter made in higher end Rubbers that have more impact and abrasion resistance.
The polymers we use in the Wizard rarely gauge and if they get some dents they seem to heel themselves.
The flight of the KC aviars and a medium Wizard should be close enough.
I would say if you gave the Wizard a 2 week workout you would have great success with them on putting, laying up and as a driver. Most likely you would never switch back ( few players ever do unless they are seeking sponsorship or something).

I dont think sandpaper really works. I had to use some my old Soft Magnet and it didnt help at all. I would suggest clipping the edges that need to be clipped, but there is no need to really sand the whole edge of the disc.

Use a toweland rub it like sandpaper, or rub it on a rug.

If you have hanging plastic from the gouges you can glue them back with super glue. I works great and is a permanent solution.

^ TThat ^ is the best way. when you rub it back and forth on carpet it will heat the area up and melt it smooth (or at least smoother).

Yep, they know what they talk about. Not just any carpet, the kind you find in an office is way better than home carpet. Short pile, not long.

My boy rob told me the same thing about the carpet, but it left a big as ring in the carpet. My g/f wasnt too happy. I got a rug in my basement i am about to try it on.
Thanks everyone.

I've used the carpet in my trunk many a time to clean up the edges of discs. Works great.

I use a 3M scrubby pad I get from the grocery store, works great.....

I've heard of using the short-pile carpet before as well, but never to fix gouges. I've heard it works so well that people use it to take the sharp flashing off the bottom edge of the rim of some discs...Avengers and Star Sharks come to mind.

That is what works best, IMO. Often for the large nicks, if you heat things up in the whole damaged area, the plastic will actually mold back together.....so you do not sacrifice weight or shape or feel.

Kenny, you've seen me putt. It's my inconsistancy that should be illegal.
