Sanctioning pending...

Be a part of the oldest continuous amateur disc golf tournament.

The 23rd Am Crosstown will be held on March 10-11, 2007 in Zebulon (Zebulon Community Park) and Raleigh NC (Cedar Hills Rotary Park).

The things that will stay the same: Cost:$45.00. Divisions Adv Men, Adv Women, Adv Men Masters & Intermediate Men only. All Adv Men and Adv Men Masters MUST be PDGA members. A Great players pack as always (while supplies last: 90 max). A B-teir minimum players pack will be available after supplies are gone.

The things that will be different. We will use both courses both days. There will be a field maximum of 90 Adv Men and 90 all Others (Adv Women, Adv Men Mstr & Int Men). The Adv men will play (Sat.) 2 rounds in Zebulon, The Others 2 rounds at Cedar Hills. Then (Sun.) Adv Men 1 round at Cedar Hills and the Others 1 round at Zebulon.

There will be a cut for the 4th round. The top half of each division (to a maximum of 72 players total) will play a final round at Cedar Hills.

This means that the Others will need to drive to Cedar Hills Sun. afternoon, but the 264 bypass and I-540 (to Six Forks Rd.) will be open and will dramatically reduce the drive time.

There will be a limited number of TD Goodies (prizes) to those who did not make the cut but are on hand at the end of the awards ceremony.

Entry details will follow soon.

Sponsors: Individuals $25 Hole sponsorships and
(hey, everyone else is doing it) $10 Tree sponsorships (you pick the hole and the tree)are available.

The good news of extending the field to 180 players and to two courses is GREAT for disc golf in Raleigh, North Carolina, and across the southeast.

I appluad Craig and Richard for taking on a bigger load now with a bigger tournament in efforts to improve the sport.

You will be at Cedar Hills Saturday
And Zebulon Sunday Morning.

After the third round, there will be a cut. If you make the cut, you will play the fourth round at Cedar Hills.

As for the 951 guy, his PDGA number is typed incorrectly meaning you are seeing the rating of someone else, not Greg Wells.

This was sarcasm for those that might not have picked up on Jeff's sense of humor.

Generally speaking the players pack has a value that is close to the entry fee. There are a few things craig is working on this year but I do not think he has finalized the players pack at this time as he was checking with Scott Anderson about Buckhorn and the players packs to make sure we did not duplicate efforts with the two events.

Right now there are approximately 40 people registered for this event. Only the first 90 will be getting the players pack with the Shirt included. from my understanding these are not your regular T-Shirt but a nice collared shirt.

You will need to register by 2/24/07 if you would like your choice of shirt size. After 2/24/07 we will need to place the order for shirts so that they are ready in time for the event. If you have not registered by this date and the field size is under 90 you will be getting an XL shirt.

Please help us out and register early as we try to accommodate more people this year.

Also if you are paying by PayPal please read the PayPal page and make sure you follow the directions. You should find clear directions for the information that needs to be included with your transaction.

I have gotten some inquires about PDGA memberships. If you are planning to play in the Adv Men's or Adv Men's Masters division at the Am Crosstown you must be a PDGA member. If you are not yet a member either sign up electronically and bring a copy of your payment renew (http://pdga.org/renew/) or sign up at the event. Print out and bring your own form as a favor to me. Carter. YOU ARE THE MAN! I heard how high the water was on 18 and thanks for getting it moving. was it a blockage issue?

kadiddlhopper
Mar 05 2007, 09:59 PM
It was a sunken area around the big trees you see through the gap. Someone attempted to drain it with a ditch straight back towards the tee, but I went out to the right with a ditch and it was capable of draining much more water. The area has always had some moisture, it has just gotten to be a little too substantial for reasonability.

Jersey Mike's Brings Food!

Jersey Mike's will be taking orders both days at both courses.

The cost (should be) $6.00 for a sandwich, chips, drink and cookie.

Delivery will be about the time the first group finishes the first round.

(Adv, Women, Adv. Masters and Int Men) Sunday orders will be taken in Zebulon but delivery will be at Cedar Hills.

Try to buy a lunch or two. This helps a long time supporter of RADL and is convenient for you.

Mrs Scotty can't do the cookie thing this week since shes working Thursday and is leaving to see her sister on Friday. Maybe I can make some brownies and bring them (no not magic brownies or laced with ex-lax). And yes, I will save some for the Intermediates.

Is this a fair exchange? (FYI I do more of the baking of sweets than Mrs Scotty does)

If you want Mrs Scotty cookies you will have to wait till DEPC 07
