He is fishing discs out of McKinney Park in TX that not only have the players name, phone # and PDGA # on them, but is even someone he (used to) golfs with. Additionally the guy that lost this disc decided to put up an super high bid of $250 for a USED Teebird and then this seller raised up the bid using another account.

He is currently selling Ben Cole's disc and I know he has done this to Rob Dawson as well

I sent him an e-mail concerning this "problem".
It's a question of ethics, and it will only help if he has half a concern. We can't tell him what to do or how to do it. I Said the plaque on the memorial says "Pay it Forward" and to think about how he could benefit the sport instead of gaining financialy from it. Other than that, as TeamUDGP would say, " Stop Throwing in the Water".

I agree fully Phillip but when a guy that he has played many rounds with out there has his phone # on the disc and he doesn't even call - that is sad. I am sure Ben would have paid him a finders fee easily for his troubles.

Also bidding on his own auction against ben was pretty low, but he has pulled the auction so I hope it works out.

I know and I am upset about it as well. He has my 175 yellow star Sidewinder - brand new - but I threw it in and chose not to jump in the 45 degree water to get it back. I know almost everyone that plays out there and would think that all of them would return my disc to me in some form or fashion if they had seen it. Hell, L-train has one of mine in waiting that Ben Cole found one day.. but not everyone is like "us". yeah I know it sucks, but all you can do is confront him to try and reach an amicable solution.. As for me.. I am focusing on the fairway cuz that water is toooo cold.

Thursday night is going to be COLD.. So we will continue to play bring your partner doubles from the short tees.
On a side note, Sunday the 17th of this month will be a work day for anyone interested in helping out. We will be spending some of the money raised from the minis over the winter to put retaining walls up around the front of the teepads on holes 10, 12, 13, and 15 where the soil has erroded to keep the Pads from cracking off. If time allows we can start clearing out the practice basket area as well.

Thanks to Ben Cole, Quinn, and Ron Silliman for helping place the retaining wall on hole 10. Unfortunately, The City Of Mckinney did not think it was a good idea, so they ripped it out and put dirt back in its place. :confused: Doesn't hurt to try I guess and next time we'll make sure it's approved by them first.

This thursday will be the LAST Doubles Night Mini for the season. Ace pot is not very much but if it is not hit , then we will throw a CTP for the amount.. I thank all of you who have come out to the mini and look forward to the end of the year for the start of season two!!! :)

Talked with TJ last night, He is going to start the Wednsday Night Minis up this week till Ron gets done healing. I presume it starts at 5:30.

Correction:
The mini's are at 6:00 and that is when the cards will be handed out, so be there before 5:50 if you want to play.

No ace,No one finished and there are at least 10 trees down,18 took the most hits,lucky none of the trees hit any baskets.Hole 17 took a good hit,one of the trees fell on the power lines and bowed the line.That power line is about 10 feet of the ground,I will call the city and I'm sure they will fix a.s.a.p. We have alot of clean up to do and with the city's help it will be cleaned up in no time.Next wed.ace will start at$232.00

ace pot survived until next week. Capped (for tax purposes, I presume). Ben Cole hit the top of the basket on the alternate hole (practice basket) which replaced #8 yesterday. I tagged high left chains on #15... but nobody managed to make one stick.

Still lots of water on the course, but it played much nicer yesterday than it has in weeks. Thomas took Open with a 50, I took Advanced with a 51 and I didn't hear the winning Am score, but I know there was a 54 and a couple 55s

Thanks to Ron S., Giles S. and Haleigh S. for the work they did out at the course this weekend. Hole 1's basket has been re-located out of the mud pit and cleverly placed in the center of some trees.. slightly closer but now the sidewalk and beyond are OB, and it's maked that way on the concrete as well. Also, they installed markers with Hole #'s for the long tees (red's) and the addition of 3 "championship" gold tees on 2, 4, and 16. Thanks you guys for all the work you did!!!!

Nice! You'd know I'd be there if I could! Last time I played that course I believe it was called Wilson Creek and it only had 12 holes. My first ace (8-8-92) was on hole 1 during a "Circular Skies Over McKinney" tournament. I hyzered a Whippet high over the heads of John Houck and other pro/advanced players who were waiting for us (ams/novice) to finish our round.....and BANG!....it stuck. Oh yeah, good memories in McKinney... :)

For those of you that might be interested, I will have a stack of 180g Glow Ontario Rocs with me tonight at the mini. I will not be there until 8pmish, but I have about 12 with me. They are $15 each and have the Java Classic Logo on them. We are selling them as a fundraiser for the tournament on September 22 at the Harmony Hills temp course in Mckinney.

If any women are interested, I am positive that there will be a womens division out there this evening.. 6:00.
