All of the FlynHigh events I played have posted (although they won't affect my rating until the first update in 07 :() I think the Dripping Springs event is the only one not showing....

Jan 02 2007, 02:55 PM
I'm still missing my Dripping Springs results. Have you seen them? Have you? Has anybody seen my Dripping results? I'm putting out an AMBER ALERT for a third place finish in Adv. at Dripping Springs! Call Rick if seen, so he can post mine and everyone elses. :D :D:p ;) :) :o:cool:/msgboard/images/graemlins/ooo.gif Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!

Someone better email Rick and EXPLAIN how he's perfecting the "Let me tick off the disc golf, tounament play'n community" attitude as he's clueless about the impact of his administrative duties or lack there of.

jparmley
Jan 02 2007, 03:34 PM
The only thing I can think of why Dripping Springs has not posted is if there were multiple tee boxes for different divisions. That can always affect the TD report and it's fairly easy to submit the wrong info. Has anyone checked the round ratings to see if they're a little "squirrely"?

suemac
Jan 02 2007, 03:43 PM
I see some results posted (Moffitt) but not official or in my rating, will this change in the update later this month?

MP757
Jan 02 2007, 04:20 PM
Multiple tee boxes, different divisions, etc. etc.... none of this is "my" problem. Filling the paperwork out and submitting it in a fashionable time is not hard and you won't end up making anyone mad. The round ratings for Adv. and Open are fine, the women on the other hand didn't even get rated and the other am divisions are all screwed up. I think over a month and a half has been long enough to fix this problem and post this tournament under our names. I was planning on this tournament being factored into my new player rating the other day and it wasn't, otherwise we wouldn't be talking about this now!!

I e-mailed Chuck and this is the response I got:

From: Chuck Kennedy

"Results online are still posted as Unofficial so the PDGA has not received reports from the TD yet. If Dave at the PDGA does not receive the reports by the middle of January, the events will not be rated. Dave regularly contacts TDs to get reports done. It helps if the players bug the TDs also. The good news is that in 2005 TDs finally got all of their reports done in time so all rateable events got rated. We hope the same will be true for 2006."

This is what I'd like to understand from this quote, who's butt do a I light an Aggie size bonfire under to get this tournament posted? I'm not going to waste my time calling and e-mailing a bunch of people anymore, because I shouldn't have too!!!! This has now gone beyond ridiculous that we have to have people in the PDGA pandering to TD's over the phone, just to get their information turned in on time? And now I'm supposed to be calling and writing and hounding the TD also, so the same information can get posted, and if it doesn't get turned in by mid January it doesn't get rated! This has all turned into a pile of B.S. the size of the Astrodome!! Somebody needs to do their JOBS!!! or quit taking on responsibility that they can't handle, either way I'm not going to do it for "YOU!" Remember I payed a PDGA membership fee and a tournament entry fee so that all I had to do was show up and play, I fulfilled my end of the bargain, it's time everyone else in this equation did too!!!

So ratings for LSS events not taking place at Twin Parks will be added when Chuck and crew update 2006 on 1/30. If Twin Parks gets cleaned up shortly, I would imagine it would get into that update as well.

Jan 02 2007, 04:57 PM

Sorry Guys -- Apparently I hadnt paid the original sanctioning fee on a couple of the tournaments -- it should all be completed by now. yes the dripping springs TD report was difficult to complete and IS NOT AN EXCUSE & what you guys see online is different then the TD report .. I believe the reason the girls dont have ratings at dripping springs is that they were the only ones throwing from those tees so there werent enough players to rate -- again my apologies to anyone i upset or disappointed & will continue to do better

It's all gravy, baby! I still like ya Rick! I don't like people that try and pass the buck on their responsibilities though and I've been getting that from the PDGA. Make a harder effort in the future to get info turned in sooner and I think everyone will be satisfied. I still plan on playing a number of your events this year, including this one. I love Macgregor, there's nothing like playing down in the ghetto!!

Because I managed to fight my way into the HFDS site last night to check...
1-13 Bass
1-27 Pleasure Island
2-10 MacGregor
2-24 Temple
3-24 ???
4-07 Cedar Hill
4-14 Nacogdoches
5-05 ???
5-26 Twin Parks FINALE

Of course, these all come with the statement: I am not Rick. These are what Rick posted a couple of weeks ago (except I made the Bass & MacGregor switch), and Rick will need to confirm these dates.

2 events to qualify for Finale...the Finale itself doesn't count!

Since Ben didn't get the tournament registration online, it sounds like most registration is gonna have to happen on the morning of at Powell. Rick is requesting that everyone wanting to register get there between 8:00 and 8:30 to get registered.

yes it is 2 events BEFORE the final. all of the events this year that gimp ran ARE part of the series -- all series payout that was collected by Gimp before i took over is ALSO part of the series final PAYOUT. so there are going to be a total of around 12-14 events -- so the series bonus payout should be HUGE -- will be posting that in the next several weeks for every division.

ROTFLMAO!!! It's easy to be evil when you're sitting under a tent or pavillion!

I've got to imagine that any decision will have to be made after he takes a look at the course to see what kind of shape it is in. Bassmaster has been silent lately, so we haven't heard any fresh "course condition" reports lately.

Looks like we'll have a good chance of playing on a "wet Willie" on Saturday. 30% chance of rain on Friday, and 40% on Saturday.

It doesn't matter to me too much...I don't play either course very well although the Powell does drain better than Wilmont. I'll be wearing some water-proof socks on Saturday for sure! Will we need to bring kayaks?

only kayaks needed will be to fish your "GAME" out of the pond -- ching --

DOH!!!!

There needs to be a rule about throwing down this kind of smack when you plan on huddling under the shelter the whole time!

I see where TheOtherNeal is tossing out a challenge, but I'm hoping to see if we can scrape together a GM division this weekend. Are there any other Grands coming out to this? I know of a few already...

Jan 10 2007, 11:42 PM
Rick - With your permission I would like to accept renewals for PDGA and HFDS at the registration desk.

I have a list of about 10 names already whom have renewed via the Affiliated Club program of the PDGA. I will be e-mailing you those names in a minute.

$5 discount for anyone wanting to renew their PDGA membership through the HFDS Club! (Only catch is that you have to be an active club member too! :DAlways a catch isn't there?)

Are any ladies planning on playing in this tournament? SuperGirl was really looking forward to playing in the Macgregor tournament (we cleared her schedule with her basketball coaches and her soccer trainer). Now that the tournament has moved to Tom Bass, we are trying to decide if she should sign up. She has two basketball games tonight (Thur) and two basketball games on Friday night (she plays in two basketball leagues). So I know she will be tired on Saturday. Plus she doesn't like playing at Tom Bass.

However she is determined to play disc golf on Saturday if any other ladies plan on playing in the tournament. So are any other ladies signing up for this tournament? It is supposed to rain on Saturday, but the temperature should be ok.

Thanks...........Rick

I'll be out there tomorrow taking HFDS/PDGA renewals for anyone interested. To renew both: Pros=$85 Ams=$60.

While I'm doing that, I'll be campaigning with the players to get a few other MG1s to sign up there. :D

Rick, I know that Jenn isn't going to be out there, and I will just be out to help with registration in the morning.

Don't know about anyone else, maybe Jennifer Perry might show up or Bridget but not sure.

Next event for me is Z-Boaz, Victoria Open, Red Rock Show, and then TWC. Might play some one days in between but not sure at this point.

Just checked the park:

Powell:
Soggy, but playable. The two ditches are full and the usual swampy parts are swampy. Grass is short.

Wilmont:
Extremely soggy. The Wetlands are overflowing. #11 and #16 have swamps for fairways, and I imagine #14 is just as bad. #6 tee isn't playable. Didn't see how it was towards the creek, but basically the front side is a swamp. Grass is short, however. :)

For me, it means I'm playing Ultimate. Y'all have fun.

Rick was right on selecting the Powell for this event to start. There were some that wanted the Willie, Bet the whiners don't even show. Scoot_er, are you coming to play? And your buddy Z-Crusher?

I am one of the folks that petitioned (on this thread) for the Willie. If conditions to do not permit, then I am all for the T.D. making the call that needs to be made. You cant blame anybody for hoping that the Willmont would be in playable shape In my opinion, only playing the Powell when a tournament is held at Tom Bass is like ordering chicken at a nice Steak Restaurant I mean, it is really good chicken, but its just not steak.

Oh, and I do know that Z-Crusher will be there. I don't know about Scooter.

1. I agree completely
2. It's more like ordering the chopped steak.
3. Anyone else now craving a good steak?

Thanks for the tourney Danger! :D

Big fun! Wet feet. Lots of breeze pretty much describes the day. I dropped my personal best on Willy and Powell both today with a pair of 64s!

Wish I could've hung around longer...I'm gonna be late to deal poker as it is! Thanks to my card mates today: Lance Steck (whooped me again!) and Al LaCroix visiting us from Michigan! Good to meet ya Al, and good playing with ya!

Thanks. It was pretty windy and i nknow we missed quit a few putts <15 on the card. Heck I missed two 10ft putts during the event and wasn't too bummed because there were some decent 25-30mph winds at times.
Zboaz is also on the 10th? Can you even run an event that close to a supertour?
So I'm assuming the Macgregor tourney is still on even though there's a supertour at Z-Boaz? Decisions..decisions..

A one day tourney in my home town = Cheap, friends, and family....or a SuperTour event at a course I've never played = expensive yet very intriguing....

I have a few questions about the MacGregor tournament this Saturday. SuperGirl (Nicole) wants to play in the MacGregor tournament, but she has a schedule conflict. She has a soccer game this Saturday at 9:30am (she needs to be at the park by 8:45am to warm up). After the soccer game, she has a basketball game at 11:00am. So here are my questions:

1. Can she sign up for the tournament, miss the first round, and still play the in the 2nd round?
2. We can be at the park between 1:00pm and 1:30pm. Is that early enough to check in and play the second round?
3. If someone misses the 1st round of a tournament but plays in the 2nd round, will they get ratings for the 2nd round? I am 90% sure the answer is yes, but I am just double checking.
4. Will the women be playing from the same tees as everyone else in the 2nd round so that the round will get rated?

ThanksRick

RickDanger
Feb 08 2007, 03:19 PM
rick the answer is yes and yes -- it will still be counted as a DNF because of the first round score of 999 but per brian at the pdga yes it will be rated -- & yes everyone will be using the same tee's
