I am trying to get my bag settled in a little bit and have decided on my primary putter which is the Omega SS but my question is do most people carry a second kind of putter or do you find one and just concentrate on that one. If you do carry a second one what do you recomend.

I usually carry around one extra putter for practicing or a totally different putter that I use for short drives, jump putts, or long approach shots. It all depends on what putter I am using at the time (havent really found the putter that I really believe is best for me, but I sure do try alot of them to try and find the right one!! :D).

if you like the Omega SS, i would recommend carrying a JK Aviar-X as more stable option for headwinds, etc.

i do just the opposite -- i carry an Omega SS for when i need more turn and use the JK for regular putts and approaches...

I usually carry 3 putters... A new soft wizard for drives and long putts, a beat one for most putts, and an E for in the trees or wind.

I usually carry a back up putter of the same type that is a little further along in the aging process. I use the backup an my short turnover disc.

I usually carry to identical putters. Always the pair of DX Aviars, 174g. For a time I tried carrying a combo of Aero-Aviar-Rhyno for flippy, straight, stable... but it was a mistake. Better to just get a pair of identical putters (if not more) so you can learn the nuances of that one disc, IMO.

I carry 3 putters. A Titanic for driving, hyzer approaches or putting in the wind. A Reef for anyhyzer putts and approaches. A pro Challenger for my main putter and upshot disc.

Many players have an Aviar type putter for cutting into and across the wind and a rounded edge putter for with the wind and no wind. A Rattler/Puppy/Birdie putter will not fly as far when you miss, settle on the ground flatter and is better for a floater type of putt. Try to master 2 or 3 putting styles also.

I use 2 Aviar-X's and 1 Supersoft Wizard. I use a brand new Aviar X for accuracy putting and hyzer putts. An old Aviar X for long approach shots, and anhyzer putts. The SS Wizard is for windy putts as the plastic seems to act more stable for me.

I carry 2 putters because the second one always goes in.

I never throw the first one, it never goes in.

I carry 4 putters but I on;y putt with two. A Pro aviar for everything out to about 45ft and then a beat dx aviar for long jump putts.

I carry 5 putters, 3 for throwing and 2 for putting.

1. Soft Magnet for Air Bounce and Turnover approach shots.
2. Medium Wizard for long approach shots and shorter headwind approach shots
3. Cryztal Challenger same as Medium Wizard, but slightly more flippy

4. Pro Challenger for most of my putting duties
5. 1st Run Black Banger GT for headwinds or downhill putts. This thing floats less than any other disc I've ever thrown.

I carry 3 or 4 wizards, different ware, 3 Mediums for driving and long putts, 1 soft for shorter putts. I have one beat to the point it does turn.

also carry a whitler for more touch shots and runs outside 75'

I suggest finding a putter that works for you and use it for everything. I do agree if you like the Omega, that a Avair X (similar mold, just the bead) for drives and stiff winds.

I carry three. Star Aviar BB or KC Pro 10x (pretty new, overstable), Star Aviar P&A (well used, stable-understable) and a DX Aviar P&A (used, understable).
I will putt with one of the three depending on the shot needed and the conditions.
Also started carrying a Whitler for shots well outside 10m.

I carry six putters! Four for throwing, two for putting (ONLY!)
Super Puppy for those 100' and in shots.
X APX for turnovers up to 250'
D Challenger for straight shots up to 260'
Z Challenger (not CryZtal) for hyzers/headwinds to 260'
and two CT Challengers for putting. I carry two for pre-round, waiting for the two minute warning practice, and for putting in a lot of trees when I don't want to ding my main one.

I have a black soft wiz for all putts, including jumpers. When I need to throw or drive, I use a nice beat up 10x Aviar. The 10x is just a tad more overstable than neutral, and works great for hyzers, straights, or annies. I am hoping to grab some warlocks to replace the 10x, but I don't know where to ge them. ANyone wanna trade? I have lots of new ESP.

5 in my bag right now:

E Wizard for driving
E Warlock and S Warlock, just experimenting with for short drives/upshots/long putts (probably only 1 will stay in)
2 Glow Wizards for putting only

Both Glow Wizards are identical, so it doesn't matter which one I use.

175 Glow Wizard for most all putting duties
173 Soft Wizard for long putts or downwind
175 DX Aviar (soft) for straight or turnover short drives
175 Champ Rhyno for severe wind or whenever i need a brick

2 of them...

Soft Rhyno for my always putter
Stiff Rhyno in case I loose my soft one.

Of all the discs to have multiple of, you should learn one putter and stick with it. Then you just back it up in case of breaking or loss. Just my opinion.

I usually only use a beat APX-X 172g for actual putting, but also carry an XD and a Goblin for approaches. On windy days or for very long putts, I sometimes use the Goblin.

One new ProD Challenger for pretty much all putts.

Then I have my last ProD Challenger which is beat to death. I use it during practice rounds to get in more throws. Also I use it for slow RHBH turnover shots, things like strange upshots.

I use a Crystal Challenger for upshots, so technically I carry three putters.

3 should be enough.

1 new one.Slightly overstable.
1 Really beat turnover one.
1 slightly beat and flys straight.

ALWAYS CARRY MORE THAN 1 PUTTER. I once foolishly played one of my first tournies with only 1 putter. I lost it on the 2nd or 3rd hole of the second round and had to finish the tourny putting with XL's!

I lost both my main putters at Riverbends at this (http://www.pdga.com/tournament/tournament_results.php?TournID=4835#Advanced) tournament. Luckily I had a new one in the bag for driving. I also lost my firebird. It's a hyzer course, so when we passed by TC, I supported the club and bought another. Luckily they had a marker.
