INNOVA DIscatchers! They've treated me very well, and that band around the top really psyches people out as well as standing out in the woods.

chainstar (calm/softer putts)
Discatcher (windy/solid putts)

I'd say the ChainStar, or maybe the Discatcher Pro. I've never putted on a Titan, but I've heard good things about them, and they look sweet.

Gateway Titan baskets... I also like Mach V's and Disccatchers

Chainstars are not my friend.... too many gaps without adding chains

Discatches mainly since they are on a lot of courses and catch well but the Titan is better in preventing cut throughs and bounce outs.

I just put together my Portable Basket with Wheel.

It has a Innova top with the Original 18 outside chains.

I added a Mach 3 chain assembly insert around the inside center. It's like having a Mach III Innova Basket.

30 chains. Nothing cuts through !!!!!!!

I'll try and post a picture soon !!!!!!!

Is there some sort of science to baskets and chains? Or is it how individuals actually throw the discs at the baskets.

Just wondering
I try to hit the middle at the point what the disc just begins to hyzer out. I hope that when I get sloppy and hit off center that it'll catch but I don't get bent out of shape when it doesn't.

Only shot I go huuuh at is when the disc is flat and blows through as if there weren't chains there in the first place.

Jacob,
It depends. If you are looking for a basket under 200, then the Innova Discatcher Sport is the best. You can add center chains for about 20. The best top of the line basket is the Titan, by Gateway. Three levels of chain all weighted different to ensure optimal catching and it breaks down with no screws or bolts. Very portable and breaks down easily. I own both of them. If you want to buy my discatcher sport ask your old man, ill give you a deal. later jacob, Ryan

Discatchers and Titans are bulletproof when it comes to blow throughs.

BathTub_Gin,

That ain't the half of it! Ha.

I may be "thinking" of disc golf daily..............they are constantly talking out loud about it daily !!!!

I'm not sure how long I can last under these conditions, before I either disc all day to keep them quiet, ban it from being spoken M-F, and allow it from Friday afternoon at 3pm ........ending at 9pm Sunday !

Can you just love my pain.........????

That stil isn't good enough IMO. The Discatcher and Titan have better catch rates than that. To tel you the truth the Chainstar is my least favorite basket followed closely by all the soft chain Machs that were made.

I have never putted on a Titan but I have a Discatcher and it is one of the worst basket's I have ever putted on, It only catches maybe 75% of the putts.

If you didnt hit off center with such hard putts you wouldnt have this problem!!!

Id say Spider Webs are the best but as far as easy to get your hands on go with the Chainstar!!! I have 4 and I love them!!!

Hate to say this but the 24 Chain Discatchers arent bad either!!! I found these to be great baskets when I played the USDGC :D:D:D

Not really! /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif SS putters hit the pole flex and rebound out while stiff putters will deflect either upwards or downwards when they hit the pole. The only time a stiff putter will bounce back is if it hits perfectly square. That is a problem IMO though since a square putt on the pole is a great putt but won't always stick.

Jan 01 2007, 11:44 PM
So do you putt with harder putters now, or just aim off center?

I have only played one event since I have gotten it and I left from school so i couldn't take it. If I go to a Dallas event this weekend I will take it and maybe they can use it for one of the extra holes.

I'm a little biased toward the Chainstar because thats whats on my local course, but I also like the Discatcher w/ inner chains & the Mach5. Basically they are all good products and as long as I'm playing DG I'm pretty happy with any basket i'm aiming at.
