I personally have had nothing but problems with every pair of salomons I have owned.

I love my bite shoes and my merrells have always treated me well!

Sperry Topsiders!

Just kidding. I wear Salomon's and haven't experienced any problems with them.

I would try a pair of the Bite shoes, If I could try them on before I ordered them.

the soles on the biteshoes make them seem like they are thick/tall unlike merrell in which the soles are very thin

I just got my Bite shoes so cool, Ken Climo signed the box! It says disc golf shoe on the box and a logo of a disc with a bite out of it on the shoe cool.
I got the hightops and they look rugged, the sole is agressive and thick but the shoes are surprisingly light on the feet, and they are curved on the front and back for really easy movement. I bought them thru amazon from zippos (or something like that) and the size seems to be right on, I wear a 12 I ordered a 12 and they fit fine. I actually have narrow feet (b) and they came in 12D but with the lacing system I just laced them up tight and they feel great, lot's of protection too.

I have a pair of Salamon high tops, gortex and the grip is unbelievable on anything!Wet or dry, it doesn't matter.
I also know that the top dogs from Team Innova are sponsored by them and they all love them!
I also have Meindl(also gortex)and they are also very good!
And in the summer just any pair of Vans will do the trick.

"Disc Golf Shoe" = BITE!

Good hiking boots you can use for disc golf = all others

I predict that with the feedback Bite recieves from DISC GOLFERS in the next year or two you will see a "real" disc golf shoe that will blow away the other "hiking" boots. Not that the Distance High/Low are not good already ... but they are just the "first draft" of a great disc golf shoe.

Are the Salomon shoes pretty true to sizing? I'm looking to buy a pair of Puntera Low GTXs.

IMO, they run true to size (maybe a hair big) and are decently wide. I have kinda wide feet, but the Quickfit lacing system alleviates alot of the discomfort I felt from other trail-running style shoes. Best shoes for trail-running and disc golf hands-down.

Thanks, now I know what to expect. I wear a 12 and the sizing charts go from 11.5 to 12.5. I take that to mean they skip size 12. I just might have to wear thicker socks I guess.

Ive been told the same thing from several customers. Ive been trying to get them into the shop, but "Bite" doesnt respond to emails from business owners trying to purchase thier products.

So, because of that, I choose Merrells.

Hi Chase,

That's strange, as we're constantly setting up new shops to carry our footwear made just for Disc Golf. As you can see, we're also members and lurk in the forums. I'm not sure what happened with your email, but I'd be happy to assist in setting up an account or anything you need. You can call us at 800-248-3465 or email me at "[email protected]" and I'll get you taken care of.

Thanks!

I have owned upper level trail running shoes from North Face, Merrell, Adidas, Nike, and Teva... However, 6 months ago I found Salomon and it would take a LOT of convincing for me to purchase any other brand. I now own the XA Pro 3D XCR: http://www.salomonoutdoor.com/us/product.aspx?gen=1&seg=51&gam=4&act=0&pro=417999&currItem=3

And the GCS XCR (I picked these up because I couldn't pass up a great deal I got on them): http://www.salomonoutdoor.com/us/product.aspx?gen=1&seg=51&gam=4&act=0&pro=418047&currItem=3

My golfing shoes are the XA Pro 3D XCR's. As with most brands, the XCR denotes gore-tex. These shoes have been 100% waterproof and are hands down the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned.

With all that said, I would still like to try out Bite one day. The fact that they stepped up to make a disc golfing shoe and have already put sponsorship dollars behind some of our top players/events warrants that I give them that shot.

I love my pair of Bite Shoes. Played Nockamixon last week when it was raining. I did not slip once and they are quite water resistant. Not to mention the most comfortable and light weight disc golf shoe I have ever worn. Thanks Bite!!

I love my Salomon XA Pro 3D XCR. They are great. I am wearing them as normal everyday shoes right now. I will move them to the golf course soon. I found that they have too much grip at first. If that is possible. They are soo comfortable though. The quick string tie is cool.
