I got the official green light from the parks director today to install an 18-hole course. The new course will be a re-design from the old 9-holer that was closed due to construction on the property. Thankfully we now have use of several additional acres. Some in woods, some with sparse trees, some with elevation.
In addition, a community task group (not disc golfers) is helping with the fundraising, signs, etc. We can expect 9 holes in by spring and 9 more sometime in the summer.
If you know of any golfers near the Brentwood or Franklin area please forward this news to them. We would like to add their name to the Home Course list and ask them to be on our volunteer team.
Thanks,

Question?
We are looking at some early numbers from the Course Designers chart , "Estimated Hole Scoring Averages for each Ratings Range based on Hole Length" (Sorry I don't know how to do links.)
Hoping for a bit of clarification on the hole descriptions by foliage type. Sparse -Scattered - Stands - Average, etc.
We have hopes of a fun, challenging course, just trying to avoid those "always 3" holes.
FYI, based on our land available and its terrain, we're going with white and red tees. It ain't blue land, dang it.
Still will end up with about 6700' and a couple of true 4's.
We've already added the fun to the holes, just need to tune them for better scoring spreads. Any direction at using the scoring chart would be helpful.
Thanks

If there are any Williamson County Golfers lurking on this board,
Join us for a round of disc golf tomorrow (Sunday the 11th ) at 1:30 pm at Crockett Park in Brentwood, TN. Park at the new parking lot by the new soccer center.
We will give you a grand tour and play the flags on the front 9 -- which should be installed by June.
AND, We will PLAY newly installed 3' stakes on the back 9 which should be installed in 2 or 3 weeks. Temporary red and white tee markers have been installed for now. Permanent markers and tee signs are on the way.
For those that cant make the guided tour this Sunday, you can certainly come anytime on your on. Just follow the orange paint on the ground for the back 9. #10 tee is behind the new building, down the walking path by the picnic tables. Look for white tee markers just off the walking path. #18 will end at the same place.
The new front 9 isnt well marked just yet. We dont mean to make you wonder and wander; we are just trying to get the back nine in first. Money for the front 9 is still being raised.
Send me an e-mail if you are coming and I will give you my cell number,
