I think most non sponsered players would agree that all of the manufacturers make some good discs (and some bad ones) and that some just work better for different players. I started out throwing almost all Innova but some have since been replaced by Discraft discs that work better for me but I still throw a lot of Innova.

I'm gonna oversimplify...& just for drivers:
When I started in '97 there were Cyclones, Cyclone IIs and X-Clones...&...Vipers, Gazelles & Cheetahs...followed shortly thereafter by Polaris LS's, LF's and Tachyons.
THEN, with XL's & X2's...Eagles & Tee Birds...and EXP's and JLS's.
There were other drivers, and all these (above) are/were solid...whether you liked them or not.
NOW, we've got to have 70-80+ choices (I'm just guessing), maybe 100+.
Kudos to Gateway (and others) for jumping into the fire.
A mixed bag means I'm a mutt. :p

I mainly throw Innova but have 2 Discraft Surges, 1 Discraft Soft Challenger, 2 Discraft Buzzz, and 1 Gateway Supersoft Wizard. I like Innova the best though because they have a larger variety of discs to choose from for players of all skill levels and discs for every shot imaginable. Everytime I see a new Discraft or Gateway disc its always overstable. They seem to have no variety, and they're not for the average player. You kinda have to work your way up to Discraft and Gateway IMO.

I choose to throw Innova.
I know folks who throw really well with Discraft , Gateway , DGA , Millennium , Whamo and others.
It depends on the Person and the Specific Disc being thrown !!!!!
Some Discs Fly Beat up better than others Brand new !!!!
Some Fly Awesome right out of the box !!!!!!!
Just remember to Thank your Disc Sponsor ( If you have one ) at every tournament you Cash or Win Prizes with their Products !!!!!!!
This is a Awesome Sport and we want them to continue to make Great Products , Inovative Accessories ( Like Disc Golf Bags , Shorts , Shirts etc. ) and Sponsor Disc Golf Events in the Future !!!!!!!
Thanks ,
