Particularly the 150g class. I'm really liking them. Seem to have more glide than the Champ. Anyone else seeing that?

I would love to hear a report from people that throw CE eagles and give a comparison. CE eagles are my go to driver for just about anything, and despite having backups, wouldn't mind finding a suitable replacement at a cheaper cost. I just haven't found champ eagles to compare.

I think they fly close to the old CE ones. I have been throwing Day-Glo CE Eagles for a long time. The ones with the really sharp flashing on them. After testing two Star Eagles(one blue one white, both 175)., I can say they fly like I was hoping they would. Not quite as overstable as my brand new CE, but close. I did notice they were pretty glidy for an Eagle. One is in the bag for sure. It will get thrown any time it is too dangerous for CE.

Awesome, thanks for the review. I was hoping they'd be close to the more candy, ones with the sharp flashing. Those are my main CE eagles, the earlier runs are more for slow turnovers since I think they beat in faster. I will be sure to pick up a couple

They sound like they fly like S.E.X.

....exactly like S.E.X. I know it's so. It's printed right on the bottom of the disc.

149-150g STAR Eagle impressions:
Much less lo-speed overstable than I expected, considering X-mold. Turn like a Ch. Eagle (maybe even a li'l more so), but l-o-n-g glide & minimal, TeeBird-like fade at the end. Good for 80% flat hucks & hard hyzerflips.
Stiffer than I expected, but I throw mostly gummies, so all STAR feels stiff to me. Feels sweet in the hand though, & release is smooth.
In 25-30 throws apiece, it averaged 20-25 feet longer than Ch. Eagle, especially when thrown at less than max power.
Insignificant difference in perceived accuracy & precision from Ch. Eagle.
Definitely a keeper for you Eagle lovers, but won't replace the straight, dependable Ch. Teebird in my bag.

Pretty much the same impressions for me except for the stability. For me they feel a little more stable, low speed and otherwise, than my Champ Eagles and they are for sure longer due to the increased glide. I'm liking them for out of the hand long hyzers and controlled flat S's. For me they are almost what I would expect a 150g QOLF if such a beast existed. Can't wait to see if they'll be a 150class that can handle a moderate headwind. Right into the bag they go for me between the 150g SOLF and 160g QOLF.

150 class QOLFs do exist. I think Sunking has a couple.

Dave D. suggested once that the QOLF was the best premium plastic 150 class disc available.
