One of our local fellows installed 10-m bricks at Hudson Mills. They've met mixed results. They're quite handy for those of us who know to look for them. They're easy targets for the dolts who are attracted to the idea of chucking a brick into the woods.

Its hard to find a downside to the bricks beyond the moron factor, but they're a lot more work to install if you have to make them idiot proof.

I commend Gateway on their courage in naming a disc the brick, as I generally try not to throw bricks on the disc golf course! :p

Oh, nevermind! Those can probably be tossed into the woods, too.

Actually I think Quest made them and named them.

My 115 lbs Bullmastiff is named Brick.

You would not want to throw him at the DG course either.

I've got one and it didn't seem to live up to the description I read before buying it. I guess I was expecting a beefy thicker putter, kinda like the blow fly or gum putt. It turned out to be very thin and flemsy on the outside with not much weight in the center. The only likeness to the putter mentioned before is its made of that gummy rubbery plastic just like them. It was only $10 so I gave it a shot , sue me. :(

This disc is made by quest and Gateway has nothing to do with this ridiculous disc! Stay very far away from this thing it is terrible.

Did the PDGA actually approve this?

The Gateway thing is already ingraved into every mold the are releasing. Dave didn't have anything to do with that disc. With that said I haven't even seen one so I can't suggest how it flies.

It meets all the PDGA requirements. I believe it was more of a concept disc than anything. They were trying to make something that would minimize gyroscopic effects during flight, and stick to the chains. It does both. It just feels too goofy to be practical.

There should be a wizard shaped putter with the same think center concept out soon.
At least it will have a more conventional grip at the rim.
I have done some testing with weights on 120 gram wizards.
They don't sail and drop pretty quick when hitting the chains.

Sometimes you have to go way outside the box and then real it back in a bit to get what you want.

I just picked up a 10 meter brick and it is wonderful for putts where the basket is on a hill. If you miss it stops where if falls, no rolling, period. I have only used it twice, and will only bring it out in situations where rolling down a hill is possible. Plus I got if for 6 bucks, so you cant say no to that!

If you hate rolling away from holes get this putter, but it is not a main putter for sure, I use a Rhyno for that.
