I am hearing that many Master players will not be playing if this event is going to be held out at Twin parks. So lets have a poll of who will play if it is at twin parks versus who will play if it is at wilco / round Rock.

What about bringing back National Doubles since World Doubles has moved back to Worlds. It would be cool to play the South course.

I haven't play Twin Parks but I love Wilco so I doubt my vote would change even if I do play TP. :D BTW I need a partner. Maybe I will see if Ian is available. :D

not sure that is why I started this thread hoping they will post on this issue. I have heard it from more than a few..me personally I dont care but would like for the doubles event that originally started in ROUND ROCK to at least still be available. maybe 2 events. texas states and than the original NATIONAL DOUBLES !!!!

RR/Wilco for sure. That is the deciding factor for me. I have never played TP and it is a lot easier to travel to a tournament when you don't have to learn the courses the day before.

The whole plan was to set an example for Texas state singles. Move the Texas Dubs thing around (LiveOak, Waco R&R, and tpc) Tpc was asked to fix the hill course before the event........
And with the plan other T.D.'s was step up and run the event.
I have done it for a while and unless someone at Round Rock wants to step up and run it for the upcoming year...I will have to ask either Waco or Live Oak to give it a try.
Cause I aint doing it ...I 'll help....But I want to be one of the guys instead of the guy.

I spoke with the Houck on the subject of National Dubs and HELL YEAH Round Rock wants to do it.
He was going to get back with me.......and if we can't call it National Dubs....we could call it the United States Disc Golf Doubles Championships (USDGDC)

I would think the club as a body would run it. But I have asked the club for the last 2 years and .......I ended up running it.

Why call it something different? Seems like the usdgblahblahblah is getting a little wore out...Texas State Doubles Championship seems just fine.

I would definitly play if it was in Waco but, I don't see Joey getting involved.

I like the Idea of it moving around. If it is held at Old Settlers I won't play but, I will help out.

Somebody mentioned Manor, Although I haven't seen Manor I've heard that it will be most challenging. Is Manor completed or near completion? Would it be possible to hold it at Wilco and Manor or Wilco and Rivery? There might be more players if it is sold as a tourney at 2 new courses. Although Rivery isn't a new course it is a new layout. I love the Wilco~Manor thought...

I know that you have to coordinate with the different Parks and Rec departments, but why not all four? I understand this may not be feasible, but if it becomes regular, then all four courses could fill. By using these diverse courses you could also pick which is best shot/score/alt, etc. and then for the players that don't like one of the courses, they only have 1 round there. Just an idea.

keep them ideas coming.. I like RR and Wilco due to both courses being on the same road and only 15 apart. manor is an idea but do not believe it is complete.
